"Game play is relatively simple, and the designer, author Herbie Brennan created a storytelling game, a concept well before its time. Episodes are loosely linked into a campaign, and can jump from time-to-time, mythos-to-mythos." — Wayne's Books Precis Intermedia brings back this classic roleplaying game of magic, mystery, and adventure (originally published by Yaquinto Publications).  Discover the Riddle of Stonehenge... the Secrets of the Pyramids... the Mysteries of the Ancient World... A Roleplaying Game of Man’s Greatest Adventures  This fantasy roleplaying game is set in the ancient world, one not seen from our modern historical perceptions, rather through the eyes of the people who lived there. It is a world filled with magic and sorcery, demons and monsters, and ...

438332-thumb140.jpgSir Pellinore's Favorite Game (Classic Reprint of 3E)
Regular price: $4.95
Bundle price:
 $4.02
Format:
 PDF
Precis Intermedia brings back this vintage roleplaying game of magic medieval adventures (originally published in 1981) in the Sir Pellinore's Game series. Sir Pellinore's Favorite Game was the third of three editions virtually lost to time (see the 1978 First Edition). Available once again, this game illustrates the pioneering spirit of early tabletop role-players, as they created their own systems, often inspired by the first RPG and its derivatives.  The simple yet familiar system plays quickly and offers a few twists, such as spending experience not only to rise in level, but also increase attribute ratings. Attack rolls are percentage-based, but there is a handy chart for using 2d6 instead. Reputation also plays a factor in the game, not only for persuasion and loyalty, but also fo...

Regular price: $6.95
Bundle price:
 $5.64
Format:
 PDF
Precis Intermedia brings back this vintage fantasy roleplaying game (originally published in 1978).. The original designers described What Price Glory as having rules that emphasize fun, playability, and logic, with fast melee mechanics that provide a better aura of realism. It features 125 spells and a separate clerical system. Thieving mechanics are fully described and unique. In fact, the book is packed with lots of innovative rules (especially for 1978) in a solid framework. Much of it should feel familiar, however.   This classic reprint has been remastered for a higher quality of printing and better legibility, updated to include the original post-publishing errata, and edited to correct any typos.  This piece of gaming history is a must for collectors and old-school gamers. With...

Supergame is back! Originally published in 1980, Supergame was one of the earliest superhero roleplaying games. Precis Intermedia brings you this classic scanned reprint that also includes the published supplements, Reactor and The Heroes of Poseidonis for a variety of heroes and villains, as well as campaign information and additional rules. Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
