SoLAR is a tabletop role-playing game that brings the charm and storytelling of slice-of-life anime and manga to your gaming sessions. 

Designed for 1 to 5 players, SoLAR captures the essence of Japanese slice-of-life narratives, allowing you to delve into heartwarming, relatable, and character-driven stories. 

Whether you're a fan of school life, family dynamics, urban adventures, or fantastical realms, SoLAR offers a flexible and engaging gameplay experience.

• Engaging Slice-of-Life Experience: Dive into richly textured narratives inspired by slice-of-life anime and manga, exploring themes of friendship, romance, personal growth, and everyday challenges.
• Diverse Themes and Settings: Choose from a variety of themes such as School Life, Family Life, Working Life, Urban Life, Rural Life, Travel, Fantasy Life, Supernatural Life, and Music and Arts. Explore different contexts and eras, or infuse your stories with a unique twist.
• Three Modes of Play: Enjoy SoLAR in Classic mode with a Game Director, Share Directing mode where all players take turns as the Director, or Solo mode for immersive single-player experiences.
• Archetype-Based Character Creation: Create characters using a combination of three archetypes, each with assigned points that shape their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Customize your character within the chosen archetypes to create unique personalities and playstyles.
• Structured Narrative Framework: Experience a well-defined sequence of play with an Opening Scene, Enticing Incident, Complication and/or Crisis, Climax, and Resolution. This structured framework ensures compelling storytelling and satisfying character arcs.
• Archetype-based: Engage in challenges and events using action cards, dice rolls, and event cards. Make strategic choices, navigate obstacles, and determine the outcome of your character's actions with the roll of the dice.
• Nippon Flavor: SoLAR captures the unique storytelling style found in Japanese anime and manga, even if set in different contexts or eras. Add a touch of authenticity to your stories or refer to suggested media in Appendix A for inspiration.

SoLAR is currently in the beta stage of development, and we invite players and enthusiasts to join us in playtesting and providing valuable feedback to help us refine and enhance the game. Your input and insights are crucial in shaping the final version of SoLAR and ensuring an exceptional tabletop RPG experience.
