DLV1- Tales from the Mountain

In DLV1- Tales from the Mountain, again the actors will be summoned to meet at the Inn of Frogs as they were for the Adventures; GAT1-A Land Cries for a Hero and QST1-The Fallen Stronghold, this time to take the fight to the enemy directly.

“Well now, here we are again facing another issue for which the Council has summoned our beloved members to unite again for a common cause. The mission is not a simple one as it will require journeying west to the Second Stronghold and making sure that the forces are strong and morale good. You are to spend the day in their company and take note of their supplies and condition. Rumors have it a plague is starting and we want to be sure that Second Stronghold is not impacted by such a thing so be mindful to cover your faces and would do well to wash your hands often and eat of your own food. Next you are to leave out of the Stronghold and head due West into the mountains. You are hunting for a specific location on the borderlands known as Black Ridge Mountain. With all of the reports you have gathered previously from missions to First Stronghold and what you found in the swamp. It is where our chef enemy is gathering and hiding from us. Therefore, we are sending you in to find some way into the mountain to either kill the Troll leader or get it to bend the knee to the ARK. We do not care how it is done nor who you have to kill to get it done. Bring back evidence that this is completed and return home. All of us know what we are asking you. All of us know the challenges ahead. The task of taking on Black Ridge Mountain is not going to be a simple one and it could result in us losing our time honored heroes. But there is no one else the Council trusts to take on this mission. Even the Guild Officers themselves were turned down when volunteering for this mission in place of you. That means the Council knows from proof that you are truly the best representation of the ARK there is.  They have told us, if you survive the mission and return in victory- they will bestow the highest of honors upon each of you. Calling you forever more- An ARKIAN. A Title which has not been bestowed since the legendary Tog and Alcandrin where bestowed it over hundred years ago. With that Title, you will never have payment in the city of any goods and will be able to take whatever missions you wish. You will be given servants and any duties you seek. The Guilds will see you in the highest regards as you enter a special status even with us. Now, we should allow you to rest. You have rooms here for the night and will be woken early in the morning and fed before your mission.”
