THOUGHT AND MEMORY SAGA

Huginn (Thought) and Muninn (Memory) once perched on Óðinn’s shoulders, re­connoitring to the ends of the earth before returning each evening to whisper him news. That is, until the Skuld Order captured the Raven God and stripped him of his spies. From the secrets they stole, they built the first Thought & Memory Drive and cleansed the Níu Heimar with flame and fury.

Thought and Memory Saga is a campaign designed for five characters. It uses the rules for the When the Wolf Comes RPG, based on Robert J. Schwalb’s Shadow of the Demon Lord. This introduction sets the scene for the campaign and is intended for would-be Game Masters. 

The complete saga will comprise eleven adven­tures to provide you with a suitably Norse campaign. If you run each adventure in order, you can take your characters from their humble beginnings to their pin­nacles of power. You can also take adventures from this book and connect them to other adventures to create your own campaign.  The saga begins in rime-scarred wastes of Heimsslit (literally, ‘the end of the world’ in Old Norse), the northernmost inhabited remnant of empire on Midgard, but ultimately stretches across the Níu Hei­mar to the binary world of Muspelheim/Niflheim. 

The first four adventures in the saga are available NOW:

CHAPTER 1: NOBODY DIES IN HJALPMAKAAR 

For 0-level characters 

The characters escort a dying man on his last jour­ney only to find themselves drawn into a bitter blood feud. 

CHAPTER 2: THE BOOK OF DANIEL 

For 1st level characters 

The characters are cursed by a jötnar headman and must earn his forgiveness. 

CHAPTER 3: THE GHOST SIGNAL 

For 2nd-level characters 

The characters are asked to investigate a mysterious aurora. 

CHAPTER 4: FINNBOGI’S WAKE 

For 3rd-level characters 

The characters must clear their names of murder and bring the real culprit to justice.
