It has long in the coming but this sourcebook is nothing short of AWESOME ! On the substance front, it draws on 30+ years of RQ lore but also provides a ton of new material to deliver never seen before cults writeups which will satisfy both the newcomers and the old guard. On the form front, it delivers even more bang for the buck than previous RQG books which had already set a really high bar. It is clear that the Runequest Renaissance is here for the stay. The layout and art are just amazing making this sourcebook a great experience to read. Apart from the badass illustrations from Loic Muzy, what really makes the art standout is that it really creates a special atmosphere specific to Runequest. It is evident that the current team has really thought a lot about how to make the setting alive and special. Alos to note is the fact that apart from all the material on the gods, you also get some additional material on the in game experience : special skills for thieves, notes on Wolf Pirates ships, etc. You do not...See more

It doesn't matter if you are a n00b or an Old Head (I've been playing RuneQuest since 1988)- this is the resource that you NEED. Regardless of whether you *like* Orlanth and His Storm Tribe Crew, 'Cults of RuneQuest: The Lightbringers' is the sourcebook which will set you on the right path towards dealing with these crude barbarians and their pathetic claims to universal dominance (DISCLAIMER: I am a huge Lunar Empire Fan). Why, the Cult writeup for Eurmal (Trickster) itself is an incredible resource for an RQ GM. Seriously- never before has so much divine Godtime knowledge been collected into such a compact volume!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
