Now the only reminders of its time-honored past are the guards who wield a hatchet in each hand, and the Namida family standard that still bears the iconic and majestic stag: a proud symbol of a wild, untamed spirit.

     On the verge of bankruptcy and beset on all sides by predatory neighbors, the Namida clan is a cornered beast ready to lash out at the slightest provocation. Its noble court rife with intrigue and distrust, the barren Namida badlands are fertile grounds for a nearby oni warlord to sow seeds of destruction and make its own play for power.
