"Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too.
They live inside us, and sometimes, they win."

- Stephen King

Divine Menagerie 3 is the third installment of the Divine Menagerie books and 8th book in the Divine series. It brings forth antagonists suitable to challenge Scions, from Origin to Hero to Demigod.

Herein you'll find antagonists who have defied death, who tower over lesser beings, who are not sentient but rather challenge your players on a different level, and who rival the Gods themselves. Herein you'll find:

  • Chapter 1: Introduction - Here are some introductions and all the Qualities and Flairs that were previously published in Divine Menagerie, Divine Menagerie 2, and Divine Garage, as well as some new ones.
  • Chapter 2: Dead & Undead - Antagonists of the Underworld, such as ghosts and chthonians, as well as those who deal with the dead or defy death entirely.
  • Chapter 3: Chimerae - When you take two or more animals and put them together, you'll get a chimera. This chapter deals in the terrifying and strange results.
  • Chapter 4: Goliaths - Scion: Demigod introduced the concept of Goliaths to Scion Second Edition, this chapter expands on those samples.
  • Chapter 5: Iconic Adversaries - Adversaries of Demigod-like nature, as well as those who'd more likely challenge Heroes. These adversaries are unique, however you like to think about it.
  • Chapter 6: Automata - Hephaestus had automaton servants and many other Gods of the Forge or their Scions have toyd with the concept since. Some are even Titan-made.
  • Appendix I: List of Antagonists - List of all the antagonists from this book in alphabetical order, minus the fluff and with all the crunchy bits.
  • Appendix II: Index of Stuff - A helpful index that lists all the Archetypes, Qualities, and Flairs published in the Divine series and the official material so far, for easier reference.

Divine Menagerie 3 is the biggest of its series yet, with over 80 unique antagonist entries and plenty of additional Birthrights of almost every kind. The appendices can be downloaded separately for easier reference.

Compatible with Scion Second Edition. Requires the use of Scion: Origin, Scion: Hero, Scion: Demigod, and Titanomachy from Onyx Path Publishing.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
