Scattered across the galaxy are unique, one of a kind items that are extremely valuable for a variety of reasons. Some objects hold historical value, while others are curiosities, relics, pieces of evidence, prototypes, etc. Many of these items have been stolen while the whereabouts of other objects are currently unknown for a number of reasons. If a group of space faring explorers could find such an item it and sell it to the the right buyer than that would quite a payday… although a potentially dangerous one. This 1 page product provides 3 different unique items, with descriptive details, value, weight significance, etc. The GM can use in a star exploring TTRPG campaign in however manner the GM sees fit.

Sample Entry:
TYPE: Archaic Weapon
SIGNIFICANCE: Historical: Violent Reign
WEIGHT: 2 Kilograms (4.4 Lbs)
VALUE: 7,500,000 Credits
LAST LOCATION: Buried in Fortress Ruins
DETAILS: Ages ago a tiny remote star cluster suffered under a brutal but ultimately failing feudal system. Thrown into chaos after the assassination of King Honxor, the traitorous vassals quickly dispatched the rest of the royal family and then waged a war with each other. The spoils? Claim to the throne and control over numerous star systems. The result was a long and brutal war that stripped away countless resources from the targeted areas of space.
The most corrupt and ruthless of these warring vassals was Lord Zalgurak, a brutal psychotic ruler who possessed a greed that was exceeded only by his insatiable bloodlust. Lord Zalgurak’s taste for violence and cruelty was legendary, as was the executions on political prisoners that he himself enjoyed performing. As for the method of such executions? It was Zalgurak’s prized royal chainsword that orchestrated the final moments of agony for the ruler’s victims.
This curious piece of weaponry was custom designed under Lord Zalgurak’s instruction. The chainsword combines aesthetics of crude, grisly machinery with ornate, royal finery. The instrument of murder was a fully functional, symbolic testament to the ruler’s excessive greed and sadism.
Lord Zalgurak was brought down when two rival vassals joined their forces long enough to conduct a surprise air raid on the ruler’s sprawling fortress. After the attack the carcass Lord Zalgurak was recovered but the infamous chainsword was missing. Some say it was crushed under the rubble while others believe that a thief managed to flee with this foul creation. Throughout the years there have been claimed sightings of this weapon working its way through the shady marketplaces of lawless outpost colonies. Possession of the chainsword is most desired by brutal criminal warlords who see ownership of such a weapon as a being a status symbol. A few historians and museum curators have expressed a degree of interest. These folks, however, will be likely to offer significantly less (25%) than a rich crime boss looking for bragging rights.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
