Greetings, eager intriguer! Be not beleaguered!

Here we present a set of GM screen inserts for you to use in your Honor + Intrigue game. Want it to include the GM Screen? When you select "Premium landscape GM Screen Insert(s)", look to the right. Choose "Add to cart with GM Screen".

Picture of a printed copy inserted in a screen

This screen consists of 11 landscape pages, intended to be used with a pocketed GM screen (which you can purchase with this product). These pages consist of:

Front Art Pages (a beautiful scene of pirates fighting musketeers comprising either a two-page spread or a single page if you want to use fewer panels)

Combat Modifiers Page

Healing and Hazards Page

Traps, Creatures, and Chases Page

Seafaring Page

Crafting, Battlefield, and Social Combat Page

Weapons and Armor Page

A page referencing optional rules from Intriguing Options Volume 1: Rules + Story, and a reprint of the Traps, Creatures, and Chases page with the alternate chase scene rules from Intriguing Options 1.

How to Use This Product

This was made for use with an 8-panel pocketed GM screen. If you purchase this product as print-on-demand inserts, you should be able to include the screen with your purchase during the checkout process.

You could also use it with a screen with fewer panels, though you may need to decide which panels to include. You may decide which panels you prefer to use from the 11 available here (if your campaign doesn't involve seafaring, for instance, you might decide not to include that option, or you may opt for 1 panel of art instead of the 2-panel spread).

Print on Demand

This product is now available as a Print-On-Demand. You can also bundle it with a 4-panel pocketed GM screen!

How to Bundle it: When you select either "Premium Landscape GM Screen Inserts" option, an option will appear to add it to your cart with the GM screen (see image below).

Digital Files Print From Home

The digital downloads for these inserts include 4 versions. Full color with background, full color without background, black and white with background, and black and white without background. There is also a PDF copy of the instructions.

The digital downloads for this file were made to be printed at home. Slide the printed sheets into a pocketed GM screen (like the one you can add to your cart when you buy these inserts as print-on-demand).

Tips:

For best results, print these sheets edge-to-edge. Depending on your printer settings, you may not be able to print edge-to-edge on your printer. This will leave a small white edge around each sheet. But that’s okay. Simply use scissors to remove the white edge of the pages you don’t want to have a white edge (like the art for the front of the screen). You may also want to adjust your printer settings regarding printer margins so that the page does not shrink.

If you don’t really want the colored page border, use a No Background version of the file.

If you don’t want to print in color, use a BW version of the file.

For a smooth finish, try laminating your finished pages. This will also make your pages slide smoothly into a pocketed GM screen.

We’ve given you an excess of inserts so you can choose which ones you prefer to use and where to place them. For instance, if you have a 3-panel GM screen, use the first page for your front; if you have a 4-panel screen, use the second and third pages to have a 2-page spread for your front artwork.

No GM Screen? No Problem

If you do not have a pocketed GM screen, you can easily make your own. You could mount the pages onto thin wood, canvas board, cardboard, old boardgame boards, etc. You can make your own pocketed screen by mounting plastic sheet protectors onto a surface. Spray adhesive might work best for mounting, but you could also use double sided tape or even duct tape around the outside edges! Just be sure your surface has enough room to fit the inserts and if you are using a sheet protector, be sure the pocket remains accessible.

Another option would be to print these onto cardstock, and if possible, laminate them back to back or slide them into sheet protectors. Arrange them in your desired order and simply connect with clear packing tape to form "hinges" to connect it all together. This option is especially nice if you want something lightweight that can fit into a binder.

 Game Master Screens (Landscape)

Many publishers offer GM Screen Inserts which are professionally printed cardstock pages designed to slide into the pockets of our deluxe GM Screens. When you purchase the GM Screen Inserts, you have the option to purchase the screen itself with the inserts, and when you do the inserts are free.

Our deluxe, black vinyl screens are:

Thick and durable - It's the last GM Screen you'll ever need to buy.

Large - Four panels wide and each panel has clear pockets on both sides to hold a total of 8 inserted pages

Customizable and Reusable - As you change campaigns or game systems, you need only remove and replace the inserts

Hi, what's the difference between this and the dm screen in "The Sorcerer of Volupa"?

There are a few.

1. You can have it in color, and there is color art that you can have either as a single panel or 2-panel spread.
2. There is a panel just for new stuff introduced in Intriguing Options Volume 1, and a variant of the Traps, Creatures, and Chases panel with the alternate chase rules introduced in IO1, as well.
3. The monster table has one additional column squeezed in which is lower damage; a lot of monsters tend to have two attack types, and this represents the typical damage that a weaker attack would have (typically these weaker attacks have some secondary effect or affect multiple targets).

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
