I Know a Guy

"I Know A Guy" is a system agnostic supplement that can be added to any modern game. Everyone has that person they can call when something a little odd needs to get done; maybe you know a janitor that knows the best way to remove unwanted stains from hardwood, or perhaps you know someone who can get you front row tickets to the latest concert. In many games it's likely to come up that there's some contact or ally that you might know, and this supplement is here to help you give a name and general personality to who that person is. There's everything from bartenders to movers, to cops and hospital staff, to be able to choose from.

Mark Smith and Anthony Wells

Mark Smith and Anthony Wells work for Move Along Inc., a local moving company. Both men are noticeably strongly built and can lift most furniture with relative ease. Mark, at 27 years old, is more likely to chit chat with the customers whereas Anthony, 31, just wants to get in and out to the next job. Move Along Inc. is an affordable company, making it to where even those in the lower classes could use them.

How to use Mark and Anthony: The two movers don't tend to ask a lot of questions if the dollar amount is large; they even have an ala carte clean up they'll do if you really sweeten the pot. While you could just get a hold of them to move around things on the down low, you can also get information on what kind of items might have been moved if they've had a hand in helping previous customers.

Delores Mackey

Crotchety old Mrs. Mackey owns the old Store'n'Lock right outside of town. The nearly sixty-year-old woman lives in an apartment above the main office for the storage facility, and her small dog Sugar likes to keep her company. Nobody knows what happened to Mr. Mackey, and Delores isn't one to open up about it. All her customers have to pay in cash to be able to use one of her storage units, she doesn't handle those plastic cards, and she doesn't care what you do as long as you don't get the cops sniffing around the place.

How to use Delores: Somehow, there is always a unit open at the Store'n'Lock, so if you need a place to hide things Delores isn't going to ask any questions if you have the cash. Rarely does she let anyone get into the units without a very annoying amount of paperwork, especially cops, but if you slip her enough of a tip, she might just turn a blind eye to your use of bolt cutters. However, she will not divulge who uses what unit, that information you have to get another way.

Bethany Hale

Bethany Hale both loves and hates her job as an ICU nurse. The 28-year-old loves helping patients, being able to be the person the patient sees and talks to, and helping families as much as she can. However, she hates the hospital's CEO and how the hospital drains as much money from their patients as possible. Because of this, Beth tends to take things into her own hands as much as she can. So far, she hasn't been caught sneaking lifesaving medicine to anyone, or altering the bills that are given to the patients. As long as she continues to have intimate relations with her higher ups, it doesn't seem like she's going to be getting in trouble any time soon.

How to use Bethany: Bethany is able to get patient files, medicine, and help bring in anyone that might need to get seen "under the table" so to speak. She's usually very hesitant on patient files, unless you're able to convince her it's for the best of the patient. Or, if you know about her fling with her boss, you could always blackmail her to get whatever information she doesn't want to divulge.
