A Summer on Tell Tale Island

So here's the deal: we're stuck on a mystical, treacherous, ever-changing, and paradoxical island in the middle of nowhere this summer. I know what you're wondering, "What?! Why?!'" well let me explain. You see our Magic Scout leader Rick, at Camp Huxley, got very fed up with our rowdy antics. So fed up, in fact, that he banished us to this island to teach us a lesson! He says if we don't shape up and earn our camp badges before summer's end, we are stuck here... at least until our parents come pick us up.

A Summer on Tell Tale Island is a rules-lite survival RPG for groups of all ages. As magic scouts exiled to an island full of wonderment and terror, you will try to survive, go on adventures, and ultimately endeavor to fulfill your scout badge before the summer ends! 

All you'll need for an adventure comes in this succinct 15-page PDF. It contains the rules, character sheets, the island map, tables, and all of the badges. Unfortunately, you can't print dice or pencils so you will have to provide those yourself.

From the get-go, you will be tasked with fulfilling your magic scout badge as you navigate and survive on the island. There are a total of 21 badges to choose from and each one will force players and the narrator to think critically about how they want to achieve their goals.

The island is a mystical and dangerous manifestation of Magic Scout Leader Rick. He used all of his magic dust to conjure it up and send you there because he got fed up with you. Players should feel free to annotate their map with landmarks and location reminders as they progress through an adventure.

Ultimately, if your group can survive long enough on Tell Tale Island to fulfill your badges, you can transport back to camp in time for the big summer ice cream social!
