This is a Fantasy Adventure Game for one Referee and at least one other Player.

Hi Folks!

My editor is closing in on finishing his notes - pro bono mind you - so I can fix some typos and omissions on the final version. Also, I have someone designing a character sheet that should be complete soon as well. Look out for that to drop!

Lastly, I put together a very basic Roll20 character sheet that is now live and available for your online games! Just add it to your Roll20 game like any other character sheet!

Good catch again Diego! Somehow I managed to cut that out without realizing it. I’ll update the pdf with that as well when I tackle the rest of the grammar and typos that my volunteer editor is working on still. I also have a character sheet being designed, but no word on completion date yet. I’ll push that out at the same time. I will also mention that I have a Roll20 sheet that I use for my home games that I will be pushing into their GitHub here soon as well.

To answer your question, It should be that all CP are regained after resting in safety. It’s up to the individual Referee what resting in safety means, but for my games, that typically means not in dungeons or other dangerous areas, but rather in town, at an inn, or at another ‘haven’ like civilized place.

I can no longer find the Saves in the new version of the PDF. In the text there are still the various references to the Saves to be made (especially in the bestiary) but in the rules there is no longer an explanation of what they are and what scores they have...

The separate Saves were dropped from the game, and instead a Save is now just an Ability Test. Against spells, the Referee is free to dictate which Ability to Test, if any, against individual spells now. I’ll comb through the Bestiary again, but I thought I had removed all references to Body, Mind, and Reflex Saves.

Edit: I found 5 references that I missed. Page 25(Exhaustion), 31(Iron Golem), 35(Zombie), 42(Brooch), and 47(Exhaustion). I have a separate editor combing through the Final document for any other grammar and typo issues currently as well - First time I’ve had a dedicated person other than myself helping, which is really nice! - and as soon as they get back to me with their list of findings, I will fix these minor issues and reupload.

In the meantime, any place where a Save would make sense in the Referee’s eyes, they would decide on an Ability Test and what that would mean instead, similar to how 5e handles Saving Throws.

When I use a Luck Point do I have to roll the d12 together the chosen roll or can I say I want to use a Luck Point also after a roll I don't like?

Luck Points can be used before or after at my tables. So if the character is trying to attack with their axe, and they roll Str +2 and roll an 11 on a base Target of 12, they can then use a Luck Point to add to the roll and auto hit. They should still roll the d12, however, because if they roll an 11 or 12 on the Luck Point d12, they end up with modded 22 or 23… which is a critical success as it is 10 over the Target of 12.

Luck Points are a Meta currency that gives players the ability to be a cut above everything else. And I constantly try and push my tables to use them instead of hoarding them haha. I also give them out regularly for selfless acts and for badass roleplay. Acts that will usually get a player a LP are: Instead of attacking, they attempt to stabilize a downed ally or comrade, using their body to shield their charge or a downed ally, jumping in to distract the demon knowing they’ll most likely get smashed to give the Cleric a bit more time to finish their ritual, etc. ...See more

Hi! The final version of the game has been uploaded! If you purchased previously, grab the latest and greatest version now!

Through testing at my own tables and feedback received, I have removed certain things from the game without really changing the game. Of note:

Removed Boons as they were often forgotten about in my testing, and how to decide them was a bit confusing.

Changed Dodge to Defense, and converted it to a Player Facing roll - so Monsters/Enemies don’t roll to hit any longer, instead the Player rolls to Defend.

Dropped Archetypes in favor of more and simpler Classes - There is now 12 Classes included by default!

Expanded the Kin options from 5 to 10!

Reworked the EASY/HARD mechanic from modifying rolls to modifying the Target. Also removed the ‘Gritty’ option as any Referee that wishes to change their base Target can easily do so at their own table, but I’ve found that the base of 12 works really REALLY well...See more

1. Sentence: "Party determines MVP each session to receive 5 XP". Could you show me an example, please?

Hi Diego! I just updated the game to it’s final form, and have removed some things in order to streamline the game a bit.

Grab the updated PDF and look through it, it is the same at its core as it was prior, just more streamlined, and even easier to get to the table!

Let me know what you think!

As for a character sheet, I will have a generic one ready here shortly, and add that to the files!

I bought the game in pdf format and there are 3 manuals in different formats, all three full of the same errors and a separate file containing the corrections (useful for those who bought the physical manual) .... I don't understand what it is the problem of having to update the files in the store (which in that state are unthinkable to print).

The game is very new and as feedback rolls is I am compiling updates to be made. I am a one man shop, and I work full time beside this. I am working on the next update for the pdf and print files, but I wanted to give it more time as to not keep updating as issues are reported.

The errata and correction document is a nicety for any that have already purchased and any who do purchase it before I get the updates done.

I plan on having the updated files uploaded and done this week. Keep an eye out for the updates!

The game is very stable at this point, even though it is still technically a beta. I plan to leave it as is for the foreseeable future and will be adding an errata pdf alongside a quick reference sheet and character sheet as well. The errata and quick reference sheet will be forthcoming from myself, but the character sheet I am waiting to get commissioned from a very great artist.

These will all be included in any purchase.

Further, I plan to add a supplement for Kin and Class Archetypes in the future as well.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
