Originally introduced to the Pathfinder RPG by Dreamscarred Press, psionics are a unique set of rules that combine an innovative and balanced point system with unconventional fantasy themes. This book contains over 90 pages of new content for the psionics rule system found in Ultimate Psionics. 

Psionics+ includes: 

  • 3 new races: the symbiotic Dualists, the psychotoxic Kambian, and the bizarre Sha'ah Breathers. 
  • 3 new base classes: the Genesis, who can create an avatar similar to a summoner's eidolon or a spiritualist's phantom, the Skipper, a teleportative warrior, and the Warpmind, who can teleport her enemies rather than herself. 
  • 7 new prestige classes, including the Astral Fist and the Soulbuster. 
  • A guide to building and running psionic campaigns, including 3 sample organizations with a sample member for each. 
  • 26 sample NPCs that could be dropped into any psionic campaign, plus a new psionic NPC class: the Gifted. 
  • A helpful cheatsheet for the psionic rules system. 
  • 5 new archetypes, a dozen new feats, new psionic monsters, items, and much more!

I picked a copy up and will leave you a review when I get around to reading it, but the bit I saw from the preview looked neat!

So it turns out I can't review this for some reason? Might be because I used some of my banked publisher credit to buy it or something.

I will do an "unofficial" review then: This book is pretty well balanced, well written, and well edited; especially for a first project. A lot of the more major 3PP studios can't even manage work this clean, so props for that!

There is some stuff that is on the stronger end, but its fairly in line with the higher end of psionics.
More stuff is on the weaker end, which is a bit unfortunate, but the book as a whole is pretty great (especially for the value)!

Consider this an "unofficial" 4/5 stars (5/5 for the value alone, honestly).

Agree with Derek H, you have previewed the entire book with a PDF file that can be downloaded. While it has that large watermark it isn't enough to obscure the content underneath it and while your price is very low for nearly 100 pages (you may want to reconsider your pricing model based on your content) it wouldn't stop some from just downloading your preview and use that. You can set the number of pages to show in the preview or just turn off the full preview and use the thumbnail version if you want to display all of the pages of the book.

I appreciate your concern, but in a world where websites like the trove exist, if people want to "steal" my work I really don't mind. I want people to use and share the content I've written. If they want to send me a few dollars I'd be grateful, but if they don't that's fine as well, as long as they're using it.

Trove hasn't been around for a while and as a fellow content creator they had a bit of mine before they were finally taken down. You are a new publisher and you can do what you want with your product and updating the previews takes a minute or two so just thought I would point it out. I did pick up your book-I did pay for it-but haven't had a chance to really go through it (haven't played Pathfinder for a while now but glad people are still producing 1e stuff). Wish you the best on your foray into 3rd party publishing.

Looks like a fun addition to the Psionic books I have. Can't wait to test it out and play it in my groups. I find the design of the Sha'ah breather to be an awesome addition to a desert world, and the Astral Fisk Monk Prestige to be a super cool addition. I can't wait to find what-else I'll use in my world from this book. Hope you guys publish more content!

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
