Your project gets the green light!

Currently the largest ship building company in Clement Sector, the Anderson and Felix Shipbuilders Company was started on Hub in 2299 by Jamie Anderson and Reynaldo Felix. Both Anderson and Felix brought to Clement Sector their considerable expertise and experience constructing space vessels for travel between Earth and the Earth Sector colonies.  And now that expertise is in your hands!

Ranging from tiny ten tonne work pods to massive armored system defense monitors, the space ships of Clement Sector are as varied as the crews that operate them.  The book merges the adventure class ship and capital ship design sequences into a new design sequence that allows for better design flow.

This third edition of The Anderson and Felix Guide to Naval Architecture provides the tools for a naval architect to design everything from small craft to huge in-system ships, traders, or capital ships. They can install the latest Zimm Drive technology to allow the ship to transit interstellar distances, use gravitic maneuver drives to cover insystem travel, or “ride fire “on a reaction drive ship that uses spin gravity to provide for crew comfort. They can also design low technology missile armed warships or capital ships bristling with high energy weapons and ship killing torpedoes.  In addition, the Anderson and Felix Guide to Naval Architecture gives you additional choices for FTL drives such as the Stradrive, the Slipdrive, and the Alcubierre Drive which, while not present in the Clement Sector setting, can be used for other settings or your own.

The third edition of The Anderson and Felix Guide to Naval Architecture also provides advanced rules for starship combat.  Take your designs against one another and allow them to fight intense battles which still allow for character involvement.

In addition, our starship guru Michael Johnson provides a primer on creating deck plans in which he shares his knowledge and experience to aid you in the creation of your deck plans and designs.

Your tools await you!

For all the effort placed in creating starship deck plans, there is no space for water (eating, showering, flush toilets, poop containers which can be emptied at space). It's basic. Or space for consumables during a trip (where's the food?).
Perhaps take a look at submarines or ship lines. Nor is there any space for consumables for crews or passengers.

OK, I've been banging my head trying to find a quasi-realistic way to build ships from the Star Frontiers setting (very advanced ion drives with 1G and "atomic" drives - probably fission-fragment - allowing up to 5G) in Traveller but I can't wrap my head around it in the 2022 rules nor High Guard. Fuel tankage doesn't work out, as the ships in the setting need to accelerate for 96 hours at 1G to hit 1% lightspeed in order to make interstellar travel. Will this ruleset allow me to build a super-advanced fission or ion reaction drive? Obviously, Star Frontiers was way past plausibility, but I would like something that can kinda come handwavy close. IIRC, in the setting ion engines could store up to 30,000 units of fuel proving 1G thrust per unit.

I also like the fact the setting doesn't use gravitic tech, but I am trying to wrap my head around spin cylinders and hamster cage hull designs. Is there a better explanation/design help for those?

The rules in this book do include ion engines, spin gravity, and fission drives. So it's entirely possible that you could use the optional rules within this book to do that.

Clement Sector, as a game, is a space opera setting with gravitic drives and gravitic tech as the standard. The spin cylinders and so forth are considered "old tech" in the game. However, there are rules for building those ships in here as well.

why not talk about consumables and water (drinking, showering, pooping, etc) for space.

Page 42 addresses this quite well. Such things as sewer lines and so forth run between decks (which is why you don't see them on the deckplans and likely wouldn't anyway as they are deckplans and not blueprints).

As for food stores, there are pantries for both crew and passengers.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
