Table-top Features

Whatever movie you choose,

Yeah, we can play that.

Trinity Continuum, already inspired by cinematic excitement, delivers rich gameplaying and focuses on narrative-driven rules. Table-top Features embrace the concept of “Theater of the Mind” by giving your game sessions cinematic structure.

Single, powerful one-shot stories. Trilogies connect tales into evolving epics. Short episodes grouped into seasons or series follow the same protagonists through years of adventure.

Screenplays and the resulting movies tell us the story, taking us for the ride. Table-top Features mix the curated pace of a story’s scenes with player-driven development. Movies are about the protagonists, and Table-top Features are all about the players.

Movies generally have ratings to indicate the overall amount and/or type of objectionable material. However, viewers can be surprised by exactly what that content is. These games put control back into the players’ hands. Table-top Features encourage and support the use of X-Cards, providing players with the tools to pause gameplay when needed. This title includes printable X-Cards to help make it obvious when a player feels the need to pause or end a sensitive portion of the Episode.

Inspired by the format of screenplays, this document may be printed at home to achieve the exact vision of how this product would be sold in its physical format. Print it out single-sided (either on three-hole-punched paper or punch the holes yourself), and bind it by using two #4 brass brads.

Table-top Features includes an assortment of tools for Storyguides directing Episodes at home around the gaming table, as well as through a virtual tabletop. In addition to the rules supplement, the following files are available when this title is purchased:

  • Form-fillable PDF Beatsheet and Scene Slate (for developing and producing your own Episodes)
  • Form-fillable PDF Beat Cards (to be handed out to players as the Episode progresses)
  • Printable Cards sized to fit standard 2.5” by 3.5” card protector sleeves (including X-Cards, Momentum tickets, Enhancements, Complications, and more)
  • Printable Storyboard Cards (providing Storyguides with additional help in planning their next Episodes)
  • All of the printable cards in a separate format for use in virtual tabletop settings, allowing the cards to be handed out, collected, and turned in for the same experience as those using printed physical cards.

Table-top Features requires use of the Trinity Continuum Core Rulebook from Onyx Path Publishing.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
