Fungal Feed - Fruits of Rot

As the land decays, they grow.

Reality itself is decaying and rotting. From the corpse of the old world, mycelium grows and feeds. Strange mushrooms have started to fruit all over the realm. From the deepest catacombs to the local grain reserve they’ve appeared. Any tomb robber worth their salt has learned to recognize those they can feed from. 

And those who haven’t will soon grow hungry...

Add a new mechanic to your games by allowing players to scavenge for mushrooms in the wild. Each mushroom comes with a different effect and a potential consequence. Let your player eat them raw or cook them to reduce their negative effects.
