PURCHASER

I received my POD book today. First comment, wow POD have sure improved in quality. After reviewing the book more, slightly disappointed in the dark grey text. I prefer books with high contrast between the text and paper. The black print was dark grey. Pictures, tables, color is fantastic. The black is too grey for me to give this POD any higher than 8/10

Wow! that is a high price for a book consisting of nothing, but pyramid magazine articles reprinted from 9 magazines into one book for ease. I have all the magazines. I could use the index here and look up the article myself. No thanks.

I got an emailed discount code that expires on the 31st which is a Thursday. The 1st is a Friday. How many people will likely get paid on the 1st... which is also a Friday also a common payday. If you want more people to buy this book the discount should go through at least the 3rd.

I also agree with everyone else not having a discount for the pdf/print combo is a mistake.

Confused by this one. No Kickstarter, no announcement ahead of time that I'm aware. Also the price for the pod/pdf combo is insulting. Honestly in the past few years it feels like SJG is going out of it's way to alienate its fan base. The industry standard these days is to include the pdf with print. That said I personally don't mind a small extra charge for the pod/pdf combo but the above listed price is as I said insulting. (sigh)

I back this one. I would love to buy Gurps related materials as physical and pdf, but 70+ dollars for both.. I dont have that much love.

They've grown increasingly difficult (hostile) to the whole pdf/physical combination I've noted in the last year plus give or take. It's doesn't serve them well in my opinion. There current Hexagram for The Fantasy Trip Kickstarter and Girl Genesis for GURPS Kickstarter have proven that point pretty clearly. It really sucks because they're alienating some of us who tend to back everything that they do for those two systems in particular.

I tend to read my pdfs on my tablet (older eyes) and use the physical product as a quick reference that I keep at my side or that I take to game with. I'm not sure what the change is with them and why they've grown increasingly hostile to this combo of pdf/physical product but I'm not pleased that they push back with BS replies when anyone calls them on it. I'm pretty sure though that I'm done backing their Kickstarters and avoiding backing Phil Reed their CEO's personal independent Kickstarters that he often does on his own.
