Multiclass Feats

ADD TO WISHLIST >

This title has been made available again at a reduced price for archival purposes. It is the only commercial product from Purple Martin Games to be made for the 2014 5e rules and was a major influence on the creation of synergy feats in Level Up: Advanced 5e. It is not, however, particularly compatible with Level Up, as it references class features that were removed or altered significantly in the development of Level Up. For multiclass options better suited to Level Up, check out the Thematic Toolkit series, also from PMG.

Multiclassing is fun in 5e, but it can feel a little incomplete or stitched-together if you get off the most well-worn paths. Everyone knows that paladin/sorcerer is a good combination, but what if you're feeling like a monk/wizard this game?

Back in previous editions, multiclassing was accomplished with "helper" resources like feats and prestige classes that allowed character abilities from multiple classes to synergize more thoroughly, but something similar has been missing from 5e.

Until now.

This product covers all 66 two-class multiclass combinations in 5e and allows for more interoperability between the abilities of a character's classes. What does that mean? Imagine spending sorcery points for an extra use of Channel Divinity as a cleric/sorcerer, or sensing favored enemies with your Divine Sense as a paladin/ranger. Those combinations and 64 more can be found in these pages.

A note on formatting: it can be annoying when you buy something to use in a game and have to keep flipping back and forth between pages because the feat you want starts on one page and continues on another, or when content is organized in a haphazard fashion. With these concerns in mind, care has been taken to make this product as useable as possible. Feats are categorized by the types of character classes they combine (primary caster, secondary caster, and non-caster) and the layout has been set to keep feats from bleeding from one column or page onto another.

Praise for Multiclass Feats:

"Very cool. I like how they're doing this ... just making it seem like it's meant to be as opposed to something forced or shoehorned together." -Splinterverse

The third bullet item for "Bloodline Priest" on page 5 is worded in an odd way. At first it comes across as a thing all Clerics get already: if it's on the Cleric spell list, you have access to it and can cast it as a cleric spell. That's not really a benefit. It took a few readings of it to realize that this is about spells which are normally above your ability to prepare. Such as: If you have a Cleric 2 / Sorcerer 3, normally you could prepare 1st Level Cleric Spells and Know 1st or 2nd level Sorcerer Spells, but the multiclassing rules let you have a 3rd level spell slot. You just can't prepare/know 3rd level spells yet.

What the feat is saying (in a round about way) is that if you have spell slots of any particular level, above the spell slot level that your Cleric class alone would allow you to prepare, you can prepare a spell of that level IF it is on both the Cleric and Sorcerer spell lists, EVEN IF you normally can't prepare a spell of that level because it's higher spell level...See more

The similar ability for Theurgic Scholar seems to be worded more clearly to me.

Sadly, no; artificers are not covered under the OGL, and therefore I cannot include them for legal reasons.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
