The Rich Bastard’s Guide to Magick

Spend it while you've got it.

This Mage 20th Anniversary Edition sourcebook expands on the mystique of the elite with an exploration of how the real movers and shakers operate when you throw magick into their world as well.

  • Money Magic: viewing the technocratic concepts of Hypereconomics and the Primal Utility Sphere through a non-technocracy POV. Includes new money-based magickal effects.
  • Movers and Shakers: Organizations, private clubs, elite locations, and the sample characters you might meet in such places.
  • High-Ticket Items: A collection of the best talismans, instruments, devices, and wonders money can buy (or can buy you access to), plus costly enhancements for sanctums, laboratories, chantries, etc.

The abandoned lover, waiting for her paramour to return, only to die, alone. Now she waits in her house forever.

The murdered family, killed in a spree so violent their spirits couldn’t pass on to the hereafter, now wreaking an untampered revenge on anyone they find.

The serial killer, who never made his tally complete in life, now determined to possess the bodies of the living to continue his gruesome campaign.

These ghosts, and more, haunt our world. They watch us, they torment us, they play with us, they find themselves locked in Sisyphean cycles, where the only respite comes through the haunting of the living.

It is our role to hunt these spirits down. Some believe we’re laying them to a deserved rest. Others hunt for the renown and to put down the homicidal dead. Others believe they’re doing God’s work, or with every hunt, their knowledge of the paranormal world increases.

We are ghost hunters, and regardless of our motives, it is our task to ensure the dead may no longer torture the living.

I was disappointed by this title. The 'examination of money and mage society' was superficial and to be honest, banal. The ideas of what Wealth means, suggests writers that are all under 30 and have never had any contact with actually [...]

This book does a good job of looking into the impact of wealth, but doesn't address as much how players might attempt to acheive it instead of what they would do if they had it. It has a number of rotes and items which are incredibly solid, but al [...]

This is a book like Orphan's Survival Guide or Masters of the Art in that it outlines an area of Mage that one can infer must exist but that we've simply not gotten information about. The open fiction outlines the world of rich and [...]

I had forgotten that Mage books could be fun. So many of the books in the M20 line have been unrelenting misery porn and hopelessness (reaching the peak with Book of the Fallen) that this is just a breath of fresh air. A quick Chapter by Chapt [...]

This supplement is one of those supplements that I've added to my collection and am able to use like right now. There was already quite a lot of resources available for wealth and the Technocratic Union, so having [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
