This pdf file contains all of the textures you'll need to make the teeny-tiny houses featured in the video below.

Note that this 'tiny' range is not meant to be used with miniatures, and is rather a means of creating 3D map tiles (as explained in the video).

So grab them for free, or pay as little (or as much) as you like!

Everything that I've made so far (including the hexes themselves) can be found in this playlist:

Hope that helps!

Sorry I have to ask this, but I don't understand the statement that "these are not meant to be used with miniatures." Why not? Again, please don't read tone; I feel like I am missing something.

I would like to print out terrain tiles for miniature use, most likely of European terrain in the 20th century (fields, trees, roads- paved and unpaved, and roofs would be sufficient for top-down views). I can't quite figure out if this is the product for that.

Thanks!

It's more of a case of them not really being drawn with any particular scale in mind ...as their intended use is to create little modular 3D maps for games of D&D or similar (to quickly represent the various towns and villages that the 'adventurers' might pass through during the course of the campaign).

For example, if the party turn left to go to the village of Oldcroft I can place half a dozen tiles on the table and quickly show what it looks like. Then if they surprise me and decide to push on to Newhaven, I can move some of the tiles around, swap a few in/out, and there's the layout of Newhaven :)

Of course there is nothing stopping folks from using them in smaller scale wargames (smaller, as in the size of miniatures being used) - but you might need to print them out at a slightly different scale to make them look right.

I hope that made some kind of sense :)

Lovely! Something like this would incidentally be very appealing for 10mm scale war-games like Warmaster.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
