Gaia Awakening: Inferna Sepulcrum

Gaia Awakening: Inferna Sepulcrum is a Solo Story Adventure. The premise for the story, along with the endgame of the antagonists, are included along with a brief description of the setting and circumstances. The descriptions are provided for the purpose of immersion only.

Blood and fire have always frightened those who exist outside the Gaian Consortiu. To those within the Inferna Sepulcrum, the power wrought with blood and fire is their life’s work. When an old prejudice rears it’s head you find yourself at the centre of a plot to eradicate Magic in it’s entirety.

The Story is your own to tell, and your Character is yours to play.

When Magic returned to Gaia the Circle Of The Scorned rejoiced. Though they had spent generations in the shadows perfecting the practices of herbalism, charms, and runecraft, the revelation of tangible Abilities sealed their place within the Gaian Consortiu. For some, however, this was an infringement on their birth right. Those very same generations of the Scorned were also accustomed to prejudice and mistrust, living on the margins of non-Magical society. Some were the direct descendants of those persecuted during the age of sabre and powder, a time where being different was enough to earn the label of Witch.

Some members of the Scorned separated from the Gaian Consortiu and their Clica, proceeding to form the Inferna Sepulcrum. Now that their power had been realised, they were determined to push it to it’s full potential. The Inferna found that their collective rage burned as a torrent of fire, and the Universe acknowledged their vengeful intent. The Inferna became specialists under the War Aspect, and their Ability to summon and direct fire became synonymous with their name.

The Inferna flourished, but as the Gaian Consortiu integrated with non-Magical society, an atmosphere of fear and mistrust for those outside this accepted circle began to seep into the public conscience.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
