Hi, is it possible to adjust the pdf from the size US Letter (8.5 x 11 in / 216 x 279 mm) to something similar to the official savage worlds book (6-5/8 wide by 10-1/4 high)

I would like to print it; however, I would prefer to have it in the same size as the official books, it make them easily fit inside a bag.

Good Day!! I wanted to say that I love this product and think it's amazing. I did catch what I believe is an error in some of the races point costs, which I wanted to check on. Most of the Nocturnals premade packages are built with wildly different amounts of points. (ignoring the general abilities all nocturnals get like "Dangerous") I thought this could be chalked up to the variable custom rating, but that doesn't seem to add up.

The Dokkalfar racial package is only built with 1 positive racial trait instead of the 2 points that it indicates they should be built with. Should the Persuasion penalty for Bad Reputation only be a -1? They also seem to have the weakest form of "Creature of the Night"

The Imp is built with 0 positive racial traits points, but has the most severe form of "Creature of the Night"

Vampires come out to 2 points (with 5 point Custom Rating), Trolls with 3 points (with 4 point CR), and the Wolfman with 5 (with 3 point...See more

Sorry to add something else, but mutant animals should be built with 8 positive racial trait points (in addition to the general abilities they all get) but it looks like some are built with 7 points (Dog, Skunk, and Raccoon), others with 9 points (Elk, Iguana, Chameleon, and Flying Lizard), and still others 11 points (Turtles). Was this another oversight or did I miss something with the build points?

It does appear some options have slightly less points (dogs, skunks and Nocturnals). Thank you for pointing it out. I'll have to recheck some of them and post a revised version. The majority are okay, however, including the lizards, elk and vampires. (Note that turtles do not have +2 AND +6 armor. Only the +6 applies)

I am also having an issue with unreadable characters when I open the main document (BASSv1.5.pdf).
I have a Fire Tablet HD 10 (9th generation), using Adobe Acrobat Reader version 15.3.1.

Check the new version if this works better. Acrobat Reader on mobile devices seems to have problem reading some fonts. I made some modifications to how the fonts are stored in the document. Tell me if this changed anything.

Yes, that corrected the problem. I am able to read everything, no more garbled text.
Thank you for the quick reply and fix. I look forward to the future books coming from you.

You're welcome. I really wish Acrobat would solve this issue for their mobile version, as every other readers I tested read the PDFs correctly without having to change how the fonts are included in the document.

Grest book but seems like we could do with a few more mutant animals; Rhino, Boar and Badger come to mind. Maybe an addon with a ton more mutant animals and maybe robots? Ninja clans? Corporation?

Great book! But, I was trying to make “Shredder” and then realized steel claws is not listed as a weapon! How can that be? It’s not in the core SWADE book either. Any idea if you will be adding that in? Or I guess I can just use the natural claws stats...maybe str + d6 and ap2?

Why do turtles get an additional racial build point over other reptiles? +6 ARM is worth 3 positive points, vs STR increase (2 points, iguana) or Leaper (2 points, flying lizard). Are they meant to be Big to reflect worn armor restrictions?

PS great setting

Thank you.

All reptiles get +2 armor. Turtles get +4 more, for a total of +6. So they get an additional 2 points of racial abilities, just like the other reptiles.

Hi - this looks interesting but not really enough of a Quick Preview to see how the book is laid out and answer questions e.g. is the book in colour or black & white?

Love this setting, but there are a few questions about things not made clear in the character options section:
1) When humans start at seasoned rank, does that mean they start with 4 advances?
2) How do I work out the intensity of the 'creature of the night' downsides for nocturnal race packages? (I can guess that vampires will probably die in sunlight but the others are less obvious)
3) The Bolk race package for Aliens seems to have much less traits than I would expect. Is this intended or has the rest of the traits been cut-off due to formatting?

Want to reiterate that I think this setting is amazing and I'm hoping it will get me back into GMing. Everything else in the book is very clear and for what appears to be your first rulebook you have done a smashing job!

1. They start with 4 advances. Everybody creates their character as normal, then humans select 4 advances and start at the Seasoned rank. Please note they are limited to only one Seasoned advance, since the first three where Novice ones.
2. Wolfmen and Dokkalfars simply lose all their bonuses from their race during the day. Trolls are incapacitated during the day (turn to stone), but recover next nightfall. Imps and Vampires suffer one wound if they fail their check each round under sunlight. You are welcome to use the guidelines provided to create your own racial packages, however.
3.Bolks are balanced. They have no additional racial penalties, but less racial bonuses to compensate.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
