Wrath & Glory - Affliction Ascendant

This entire four part series is amazing. My only complaint is that the final encounter needs a full rewrite because it hard cutscenes and forces your players to stand still and watch as the big bad does all the Heresy in front of them and the players don't get to do anything about it. It completely drove my group to a standstill because that was awful. I fully recommend this series, but rewrite the final encounter into a way that doesn't cuck your players out of all of their agency.

Will tora armis series get compilation?

I bought my copy off of C7's website but I felt it prudent to leave a comment here like the resto f the material's I've read of W&G so far

The quick summary of the adventure from the book follows:

Affliction Ascendant follows a squad of Absolvers Space Marines as they join the battle for Tora Armis and attempt to hunt down and kill the Death Guard officer Putradyne Corporis. In doing so, they unearth secrets from the ancient past and encounter long forgotten foes.

This adventure is suitable for Tier 4 characters with the IMPERIUM and ADEPTUS ASTARTES Keywords. At the GM’s discretion, other characters might be added to the team if they have a sufficiently strong relationship with the Absolvers of the Gilead System.

This is accurate, however I do feel that given what I read in the adventure I'm not certain any other T4 archetypes would fit too well with the narrative save maybe Inquisitor Dai'kasune herself as we'd heard little of the other factions involvement...See more over parts 1-3. That said a high ranking Sister would be useful given the content as well.

All that said, I felt Part 4 was mostly a satisfying conclusion to Parts 1-3, the issues come at the end of it. The writing implies a couple of different endings, but it feels like it wasn't combed out all the way. The tangles that remain make reading it confusing and they do need to be sorted out so the players can understand the depth of the stakes and the length of timeline they have to deal with the final threat.

In all frustrating 3/5 adventure, the first half of the adventure is solid (Rites of Battle are a really interesting addition), the lore in it is good, but the conclusion gets confusing because of editing issues that are maintained even after C7 hired a new editor.

Normally the ending would just leave it at 4/5, but there shouldn't be these kind of math issues on any archetypes at this point (we still have math issues in the CRB and FSPG that haven't been addressed). This isn't difficult math, it just needs someone to give it a final check, not to mention it's missing necessary components to that math (I could figure them out but I really don't want to use that much time), so I can't give it more than average because of that annoyance.

The toolbox kit items are useful (hard landing and rites of battle are definitely going in, along with bits of the rest, and a Great Unclean One is a good statblock to have around).
