Greetings adventurers and Game Masters! 

I am very pleased to announce release of “THE LOST LIBRARY OF KADIE”; a mid-level one-shot adventure fantasy adventure intended for 4 to 6 seasoned adventurers of levels 6 to 8. It is the sixth module of my new SG-Series of generic, system neutral adventures designed to be fully compatible with both OSRIC (and OSR rules) and the Fifth Edition (5E) of the world's most popular role-playing game. This is our second adventure to address the secret of travel among the stars, and this scenario directly links to the lore of that prior adventure (The Dark Chanterie).

Synopsis: In this adventure your players will be employed by a gnomish inventor’s organization and charged with finding the library of a powerful archmage. The library lies buried and forgotten in the sands of a nearby desert. Rumours claim it was pillaged long ago by the nomadic tribes who rule the desert wastes. However, only the library’s upper complex was pillaged after the archmage abandoned her library. Thanks to the archmage’s magical wards, the underground library complex itself remains untouched by robbers or raiders!

The gnomish researchers have found a means of accessing the ancient underground library. Now they need your players to venture there and enter its shadowy halls. The gnomes are seeking to discover the fate of the archmage and the recovery of a unique magical spell which they believe to have been part of her collection. This is no ordinary spell, for if ancient tales and myths are to be believed, the spell created a rare and powerful device which allowed travel through the clouds and even among the heavens!

Your players must travel to this ancient library, with no idea what dangers lie hidden therein; learn its secrets; and return their findings to the gnomes.

This book provides a complete one-shot adventure.  While aiming to offer a non-rules specific module, we do strive to provide information to make the book useful to the majority of our readers. However, the GM will still need to refer to their gaming manuals of choice for complete monster statistics and treasure descriptions.

Geography Note: The Library of Kadie is located in the southern-most part of the recently introduced region of Terrans known as The Parched Desert, a harsh and dangerous land which is home to nomadic tribes who wander the region following game and the growing seasons. located between civilizations to the north (the nation states of Jarlburgh, Alderburgh, The Red Eagle Barony, Dùn Bhriste, and The Dales) and the south, an old Lawful-aligned empire known as The Imperium. The town referred to in this adventure is the Imperium settlement of Castrum Porta, which lies in the province of Aquila, which is under the protection of Lady Rayala Crosswind. This scenario provides a first glimpse of The Imperium, which will be the setting for several of our new adventures in the months to come!
