Continent of ARABOR - T&T Campaign

ADD TO WISHLIST >

This gorgeous, full-color, 91 page campaign book takes you to the hidden Continent of Arabor where you will discover an entirely new realm of creatures, kindreds, and cultures you can use  with Tunnels & Trolls. This continent-sized setting was created by John Briquelet who has been developing and running adventures in Arabor since the mid 1980s. A true labor of love and a great sourcebook for running campaigns in a whole new place that was built for T&T from the very beginning.

What it's about: Arabor was created by 12 god-wizards as a sanctuary from the Trollworld Wizard Wars, The realm harbors a wide variety of cultures most of whom are followers of at least one of the immortal god-wizards, who even after all this time still influence and control the destinies of their peoples. Its a place of mystery and intrique; a whole new realm to explore and adventure in that will remind you of Trollworld, but has had thousands of years to develop its own cultures, magics and monsters.

Travel to Doomwood, Kor's boneyard, the Kingdoms of Akoto, Danatha, Kyphan and many other lands and places in Arabor. Decide where you want to start your adventures or just admire what might well be one of most lavish books ever created for Tunnels & Trolls.

This 91 page book includes over 65 full-color illustrations, 2 detailed color maps, house rules, and Arabor kindred character roll-up instructions. Plus descriptions of the 12 god-wizards, 16 unique creatures, a timeline of events on Arabor, 12 unique kingdoms and much more. Once you've seen Arabor, you'll inspired to create adventures you can run using this new land of mystery and magic!

So, I just bought it this morning and skimmed through it and it is a really amazing product! I will give you some chaotic and varied impressions: The layout and art work is really attractive. There is a dragon kin kindred! And there are other new kindred (including nomadic, primitive, shape shifters) which I look forward to reading about. New takes on familiar kindreds on how they have adapted to this island. Scandinavian-like humans!! All, very cool! I like that there is a commentary on how the 12 immortal wizards became to act as deities which makes total sense in Troll World which has no real true deities and could set the precedent on how to handle deities on the other continents. It would be great to see more books like this in the future. It would be great to see either solo or GM adventure set on this continent in the future. All in all impressive work!

Rich B, I thank you for the kind words! I'll see what I can do about an adventure appropriate for the setting.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
