Shapeshifters, monster-heroes, divine apex predators — the Lunar Exalted are all these and more.

Once they reigned over the First Age alongside the Solars, but in this fallen era, ten thousand Dragon-Blooded sit upon Creation’s stolen throne. The Lunars of the Silver Pact wage war against the Realm, stemming the tide of its imperialist expansion and bleeding away its strength.

This Exalted Third Edition sourcebook provides everything players and Storytellers need to introduce Lunars into their story.

It details the Silver Pact, its ancient vendetta, and the Lunar dominions spread throughout Creation. It also contains Lunar character creation, Charms, and rules for shapeshifting, as well as new Merits, spells, martial arts, and artifacts that can be included in any game.

Not sure how 8 people can have read this in under a day to give it a rating but there you go. Probably the same as films with advanced copies.

Most Onyx Path kickstarters come with digital delivery before the POD release, plus manuscripts provided in advance while the books are in editing/layout/art development. For another of their products in the Vampire the Masquerade line, Cults of the Blood Gods, the book is still being edited and artwork is still being commissioned, but I've had the preview manuscripts for months.

Yes someone leaked the manuscript for this book well over a year ago. Makes me wonder why it takes so long to get the finished product out. Maybe if OPP concentrated on a narrower brand of rpg lines, those that actually turn a profit still, put a couple of authors on each book, take art from no more than four or five artists, they'd have more focused, better written products. I mean this one has 18 authors credited. Even if each wrote to the same standard, every author has different tastes so you get a mish mash. Exalted MOEP the Infernals is notorious for this. OPP never learns anything from criticism.

Nah, they responded to criticism at many points throughout the development of this book and made numerous changes along the way. It's just like... "maybe you should finish this book faster" and "maybe you have too many writers" are not actually good pieces of criticism for a large RPG book (they're kind of contradictory, in fact). Like... taking your time, having an actual design and editing process, going through a multi-step drafting process is how you avoid a mess like MOEP Infernals. The writing for this book is certainly not a mishmash, and I'm very happy with what I paid for, personally.

Precisely, they respond to criticism on a per book basis. if they trimmed all the fat from their product lines, stopped putting out ridiculously oversised books, actually edited their products beyond a cursory spellcheck (OPP and prior WW are notorious for poor editing practice, no one proof reads the finished products or there wouldn't be so many cases of grammatical errors and correctly spelled wrong words through their product lines. Honestly pay an intern to read a book in a week, your product will be more professional.

As to your point of too many writers, If you go back to the older material, 1st edition lunars was written by 6 authors, 2nd ed by 4, both much more manageable groups for any editor to handle. When you have 18 writers and similar number of artists, you get shockingly bad prose, and poor computer art. Some of the stuff they published in the core book was ridiculously bad art.

So as both of those books were around 250 pages, 150 less than 3rd edition, let's say less...See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
