Warhammer Fantasy Role Play : Ubersreik Adventures

Six Grim and Perilous Scenarios in the Duchy of Ubersreik

Ubersreik Adventures offers six scenarios for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay set in the Duchy of Ubersreik, the setting established in the Warhammer Fantasy Starter Set. These can be used as single stand along adventures, slotted into an existing campaign, or combined to form a campaign exploring the Duchy of Ubersreik.

These scenarios were originally individual digital only releases, but in response to customer demand we have combined the full line into a capstone, printed release.

Ubersreik Adventures Anthology includes:

  • If Looks Could Kill: Legends claim the Beast of Orschlamm stalks the marshes near Ubersreik, but few believe the tales…

  • The Mad Men of Gotheim: The village of Gotheim lies in ruins, and the villagers are struck with lunacy.

  • Heart of Glass: A powerful noblewoman sets the PCs on the trail of a mysterious murder, an insidious cult, and a relentless Witch Hunter.

  • Slaughter in Spittlefeld: A vile sickness spreads through the rookeries of Ubersreik.

  • Bait and Witch: Cordelia Wessenlingh needs a distraction. Luckily a few volunteers just wandered into her apothecary.

  • The Guilty Party: Someone is sabotaging coaches, and a local investigator thinks he knows who!

At first I purchased every PDF they released, but I have now stopped completely. Their releasing single adventures then an updated compilation is really insulting. Yes, I could download again each individual adventure after they're updated, which especially at first seemed to happy often, but then I end up with having to do a lot to keep them all updated and organized. I should have waited for the compilation. And not knowing when or if a particular adventure is going to be in a compilation I found I went from buying immediately, to waiting, to not caring. It seems like all C7 is doing is repackaging material to resell over and over. It's too much work to try and figure out which version I should buy or wait to buy. Much easier to ignore this edition and wait for a better publisher next edition who might actually publish finished material rather than drizzle it out bit by bit in drafts and constantly updating.

The art in these PDFs are a terrible resolution. I am comparing "If Looks Could Kill", this version vs. the free version. Is there anyway to give purchasers of this access to the individual PDFs?

Hi, can you please specify on all your items which edition they're for. Omitting the edition number is making it very difficult to make a purchase in confidence. Thanks.

Hi, is there some additional content to link these adevntures as a campaign?
Or i can find this content only on the print version?

"As an added bonus, selected tips, tricks, and outright threats are included to help link the adventures together"

Hi, each of the individual adventures has been updated with the bonus content, so if you already have them just download the new versions.

There is a small introduction in this version, but it is only a few pages and doesn't include anything incredibly interesting. This version also lacks booksmarks, high-res artwork and some Player-Only Maps. If you don't have either I'd recommend buying the bundle instead (same price) at least until this gets an update.

Hi, thanks a lot fo the advice! I'll probably go for the bundle. My preferred option is probably the printed version + PDF bundle. I have only to think about it because I can't figure how much value the printed version adds.

I spoke to C7 on Twitter about the lack of bookmarks and low-res artwork compared to other PDFs. They said they were looking into it and set up an Google Forms to report errors, so we might see them soon.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
