Discovery the mystery and wonder of the Land of the Young and its amazing inhabitants in this quality product!

The capital City of Dunromin is the centre of power and administration for a fantasy realm to set alight your imagination; the wonderful Land of the Young is so named because Humans are in the majority, rather than the longer-lived Elves and Dwarves.

The variety of landscapes the Land covers reaches from the Borderlands in the west to the wild and strange eastern coast, and from Storm Bay in the north to the Burning Woods and the Blue Mountains in the south.  On the way the Land of the Young encompasses forests, lakes, rivers, castles, temples and towns; thriving villages and ruined wastelands.

Described by many as the greatest civilisation in the known world, the Land of the Young is a kingdom where many fantastic people and creatures live together.  They trade, negotiate, swindle, seduce and often fight each other just to survive, daring to dream of a place with the Barons at the Top Table; to sup with Lord Mordred the Mighty of Dunromin, King of the Land of the Young, himself!

Map of the Land of the Young

SM04 the Gazeteer of the Land of the Young is a game supplement including detailed, full-colour maps of the land as a whole as well as several particularly interesting locations in larger scale.  In this publication, the second edition, there is even more information about the races, places and nations that exist in the area, including details of trade, travel and other geographic and geological information.  While all this is useful to any campaign this supplement is not designed as a stand-alone product but rather as a very useful add-on to the Dunromin and Barnaynia Gameworld setting: Barnaynia - the banana-shaped world!

Dunromin University Press offers a complete Table-Top RPG setting in the form of Dunromin; the most amazing city in the Land of the Young, probably the world.  This detailed and high-quality set of game resources is both thought provoking and entertaining.  It is detailed yet flexible, complex yet easy to use.  The ideal game-world for any sort of player and Game Master.

SM04 the Gazeteer to the Land of the Young is designed with OSR and D&D 1st ad 2nd edition in mind but is an essentially system agnostic resource for any Fantasy Role-Playing Game.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
