Discovery the mystery and wonder of the Land of the Young and its amazing inhabitants in this 91-page quality product!

The capital City of Dunromin is the centre of power and administration for a fantasy realm to set alight your imagination; the wonderful Land of the Young  (so named because humans are its main inhabitant rather than the longer-lived elves and dwarves) and its great peninsula.  This variety of lanscapes reaches from the Borderlands in the west to the wild and strange eastern coast, and from Storm Bay in the north to the Burning Woods and the Blue Mountains in the south.  On the way the Land emcompasses forests, lakes, rivers, castles, temples and towns; thriving villages and ruined wastelands.

Described by many as the greatest civilisation in the known world, the Land of the Young is a kingdom where many fantastic people and creatures live together.  They trade, negotiate, swindle, seduce and often fight each other just to survive or even lay claim to a place with the Barons at the Top Table!  To sup with Lord Mordred the Mighty of Dunromin, King of the Land of the Young, himself!

SM04 the Gazeteer of the Land of the Young is a supplement including many detailed, full-colour maps of the land as a whole as well as several interesting additional locations in larger scale.  There is information about the races, places and nations that exist in the area, including details of trade, travel and other geographic and geological information.  While all this is useful to any campaign this supplement is not designed as a stand-alone product but rather as a very useful add-on to the Dunromin and Barnaynia Gameworld setting.

You can run this resource in your own game-world or use it as a gateway and taster for the wider gameworld setting of Barnaynia - the banana-shaped world, starting in Dunromin, the most amazing city in the Land of the Young, probably the world.  Our highly detailed and top quality set of game resources is both thought provoking and entertaining.  It is comprehensive yet flexible, complex yet easy to use.  The ideal gameworld for any sort of player and Game Master.

SM04 the Gazeteer to the Land of the Young was originally designed with AD&D in mind but is an essentially system-less resource for any Fantasy Role-Playing Game.  This is the latest product by Dunromin University Press and follows our aim to offer excellent value for money and an easy fit to most fantasy role-playing campaigns.  For the best fit, the Land of the Young is primarily aimed at the game setting the Free City of Dunromin and the Land of the Young on the astonishing World of Barnaynia.

All of the Dunromin University Press products are designed to be low cost, high quality publications that can be used in almost any Fantasy Role Playing Game. Check out our website for all the latest news and information - just search for Dunromin University Press or click on the link.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
