What People Have to Say About Unbreakable:

"I am absolutely captivated and moved by this release, which is as timely and momentous as it is entertaining and brilliant." - Sebina Calkins (@SebrinaACalkins)

"I thought it was cool how the first adventure is based on a Chinese proverb. You’re given a quest by a talking carp and eventually come across dragons and ogres as well. This is definitely an anthology to check out." - Tommy Williams (GeekTyrant)

"As you read this supplement you can tell a lot of love went into its construction. I cannot recommend this project highly enough." - Andy Hand (Boccob's Blessed Blog, Limitless Adventures)

". . . the settings that Unbreakable presents are one of the project's key strengths - they provide a very authentic feeling backdrop that allows any Dungeon Master to run the adventures without venturing into any inadvertent stereotypes or blending together the many cultural traditions of Asia . . . too often seen in older D&D adventures inspired by Asian legends." - Christian Hoffer (Comicbook)

Amazing. These are probably the best adventures that I have bought to run. The setting, mythology, stories... They are all mind blowingly engrossing. It's also great to see some Asian respresentation in storytelling: the setting, the feel, the experience... Absolutely enrapturing. A nice break from our usual western fantasy campaigning.

Hi, are there any games in here where I can play by myself i.e. 1 player (no gm)? thanks

Hi! Unfortunately, all of our 5e adventures in Volume 1 suggest having several players and a GM. You can certainly run a few of the adventures with a small group instead of the average 4-5 player group count.

Content Review: I have read through the PDF when I purchased this on 2020-05-14. I received my hard copy on 2020-05-29, almost exactly two weeks later. I knew when I saw this on the D&D subreddit and on GeekTyrant (who introduced me to the Uncaged series), I knew this would be good. I, myself, run a 5e Wuxia homebrew campaign. I am not Asian and I took great care to not have this be a Western-stereotyped adventure. To help with this task, I read the following books to help bolster my campaign: "The Condor Heroes", "Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio", "Japanese Ghost Stories", "Tao Te Ching" and "The Bhagavad Gita" to name a few.

This book is hands down the fastest and best way to introduce Asian myths and stories respectfully into D&D campaigns. The ten adventures in Vol 1 are fantastic and can really seamlessly be integrated into any campaign. This will be a fantastic way to still run my game while I need to write an adventure for my campaign...See more

Hello there! I saw this and it looks and sounds amazing! I just wanted to ask if there were any new monsters listed in this book? Using the examples of things like the Oni or the Four Divine Beasts?

There are original monster statblocks that accompany most of the adventures inside. Many of them are unique or tied to specific folklore, but from your examples, the Last Guest features spirt nobles for the twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
