NOTE: We're working on some additions to this document, including specific and expanded examples of air, land, sea, and space craft. When this is done we'll update your document automatically. Thanks!

Travel in style, any world, any time!

The Vehicle Guide for Savage Worlds is your ticket to use any vehicle in your adventures. From Roman galleons to moon-sized space stations, we’ve got you covered with a massive collection of sample vehicle statistics of every size just waiting to be customized—or used on the fly as-is! Just add guns and daring crew.

Vehicle types are divided by era so you can easily figure out those burning questions like how an advanced alien spacecraft stacks up against a World War 2 battleship. Each vehicle type has a custom table including Size, Mass, Length, Handling, Top Speed, Toughness, Crew, and example craft typical for the category.

The Savage Worlds Vehicle Guide includes comprehensive guidelines on converting vehicles—whether real-world or fictional—into your game, and includes tips for using “real world” vehicle statistics as a springboard to bring more varied monsters and encounters to your table.

This book requires the Savage Worlds core rules to play. This has been revised for use with Savage Worlds Adventure Edition and the revised edition of Rifts®: Game Master’s Handbook.

Does vehicles include mecha? And if it includes mecha, does it include rules for transforming mecha?

It doesn't. Mechs (we call them "walkers" are covered in the Science Fiction Companion).

That's a bit of a shame. No offense, but the walker rules in that feel a bit basic to me. I'd love to see something like upscaled melee weapons, transforming, combinig etc.

Geez, Irah - that was a tad harsh. I recently posted on the Pinnacle forums about my dislike of the chase rules, but I tried (I hope) to do it respectfully.

If you are looking for something more narrative like me, look at the 1st Edition of Star Wars d6 by West End Games. In short:

1. GM determines starting range (short, medium, long)
2. Actions declared. Roll Piloting + Vehicle Speed codes. Higher "wins" their action, either closing the range or opening it. If the prey vehicle gets past Long range, they are assumed to have escaped.
3. Also roll if GM determines or rolls that there are obstacles.
4. Combat fire takes place. Pilots may choose to Dodge (replaces to-hit number, but takes an action) or Full Dodge (adds Pilots dice total to the base to-hit determined by range/vehicle size, etc.)
5. Vehicles or Crew take damage. May force pilots to roll to avoid Out of Control.
6. During all this, the other players can fire weapons, do repairs, assist...See more

Updated the file today with new sample vehicles and those from the core SWADE book. Thanks for the feedback, folks!

Does this introduce an alternative to the horrible chase rules that were given to us in SWADE that were nothing more than a refurbished version of the chase rules that nobody liked from previous editions?

Sorry you feel that way...the Chase rules have been quite popular, however. There are no new chase rules in this supplement... just vehicles and design guidelines.

@Iriah W
My friends and I have had some real good luck with the chase rules and if interested I would be willing to run short one-shot adventure for you and a couple of your friends to see if we can smooth out your use of the chase rules. I feel like they really can work well once the players get a solid feel for them.

Hello! I found those charts quite helpful, but, I would like to know when and if we can expect more? Like a full on conversion guide, Sci-fi Companion V2 and/or a guide about creating weapons and vehicular weapons based on existing caliber?
Thanks and have a great day!

A full-size preview / table of contents would be great to have an idea what this is really about.

Didn't realize the preview wasn't enabled. I've turned on pages 1 through 10 so you can see what it's about. It doesn't contain specific vehicles like the core book, but instead gives you a scale of air, land, sea, and space vehicles so you can create your own. Hope that helps!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
