Fate of the Oracle is a complete 5e adventure for characters of 1st to 5th level. It uses the ENNIE Award Winning Arkadia Setting and is compatible with any setting inspired by the history and myths of Ancient Greece.

The adventure book has over 70 pages of densely packed Greek themed adventure content, set in a bronze age world of heroes and monsters. The layout is familiar and accessible, cast in the mold of official campaigns, it is easy to run with little preparation or adapt to make your own.

The book contains everything you need to run the adventure:

Stat Blocks: 50 mythical monsters, bronze age versions of classic foes, and ancient creatures from Arkadia. Every monster in the adventure has a stat block, there is no need to reference other books!

Mythic Magic Items: 15 original bronze age magic items from myth, suited for low level players.

Ancient Dungeons: The adventure contains several low level dungeons complete with detailed maps. Encounters and the treasures they reward are balanced and ready to run with no preparation. The adventure has options for both experience and milestones.

Open World: A score of random encounters support a regional hex map, offering free exploration of the coast of Arkadia, from its dry hills to its ancient cypress forests and the crumbling pillars of forgotten ruins.

How easily do we think this adventure would port over to the recently published (and similarly themed) Theros setting?

The adventure was designed with compatibility in mind. It can easily be adapted to any other Greek-inspired setting!

Hi was just prepping the 1st part for ym players and I noticed that there are 2 #15s. The first 15 references the Priest's tomb and the second 15 references the Quarry Cavern. THe map shows 1 area 15 and 1 area 16. But in the heading there is no 16. I think Quarry Cavern might be labeled 15 by accident and there is a typo. I think it's supposed to be #16. Please correct me if I'm wrong ty.

The adventure also comes with four pregenerated characters - nice touch! I have two questions concerning these:

1. The pregens all have unique backgrounds; where can I find rules for them?
2. How did the human fighter come by its feat (Phalanx Warrior), being only 1st level?

That is correct!

1. The unique backgrounds behave the same way as those presented in the player's handbook. The mechanical benefits such as equipment and skill proficiency are already accounted for in the rest of the sheet.
2. The human fighter is made using the variant human option, as per the player's handbook.

Thanks for your reply! I totally forgot about the human variant option, my bad.

It would be nice to get a supplement with new, setting-appropriate backgrounds complete with their mechanical benefits, though. They are an aspect of 5e I really like, but the standard ones don't really fit Arkadia, in my opinion.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
