Deadlands Lost Colony: A Billion Miles from Home

Space isn't just "the final frontier" in Deadlands: Lost Colony, it's downright frightening! Especially when it's written by John "Night Train" Goff! The first sneak peek at Lost Colony, A Billion Miles from Home, sends your spacers to the outer fringes of the Faraway system to discover the fate of the long-lost Bosphorous. What terrors lurk aboard her frozen halls? And why do they call this region of space "Johnson's Folly?"

A Billion Miles From Home is a Savage Tale for the Savage Worlds roleplaying game system and a preview of Deadlands Lost Colony, complete with pregenerated characters. Only a copy of Savage Worlds Adventure Edition is required.

I got this since I am a KS backer. As such I am unable to rate this title. However, I give it 5 stars. You don't need Lost Colony to play this, just SWADE. This is a great taste of what is to come. Can't wait for the completed new setting. There are only a few question marks as you see in the discussion questions I have already posted and that is about all I could find. So why is there a pic of woman in a manual labor job wearing high heels?

You'd have to ask the artist. ;) We give them a fair amount of free reign in their work unless it's something crucial to the background.

Well I am a backer as well but I did not receive anything. Thanks to your comment I found out that there was even a possibility to get it :).

Did you back the SWADE Kickstarter, Marcin? This was one of the Stretch Goals for that Kickstarter. If you didn't, please message through KS and we'll resend your link. Cheers :)

Everything is alright. I messed with Kickstarter projects. Thought that this one was included in Lost Colony KS. My bad :)

I am not familiar with Lost Colony lore. Why would running into an EXFOR patrol (p8) be bad?

It's not, necessarily. Depends on whether you're on the outs with them or not. But they have gone a little rogue under the leadership of General Paul "Overkill" Warfield.

Sprayskin p5 does it also remove Shaken? Trauma Pack seems like it doesn't require a healing roll. If applied as part of a healing roll any success or raise would increase the number of wound penalties removed? If someone applied 3 Trauma packs would they have -3 fatigue since they can't be incapacitated?

It doesn't remove Shaken, require a Healing roll (and isn't part of a Healing roll) and doesn't cause Fatigue. No matter how many you apply it only negates one level of Wound penalties.

DTRPG isn't the best place to ask these kinds of questions. Please use the official PEG Forums for that. Thanks!

Splash sheet above references "The Greatest Treasure" you might want to change that.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
