ShipWorks is a 3D printable OpenLOCK compatible Ship building system for RPGs and wargames.
OpenLOCK based, it is the ultimate customizable ship construction kit, allowing for nearly infinite ship layouts. Customize your hulls, prow, sterncastle, forecastle, decking, profile, weapons, interior and more. Put stairs, hatches, and masts where you want them.  Let your players' imaginations- or your own run a bit wild, expanding the ship length, adding or removing windows or cannon ports. Hundreds of high quality components that allow you to build almost countless configurations of ships.

The best part- is that it's all playable terrain. With ShipWork products, stairs, ladders, even rigging, and some mast options are no longer 'dead space' or just for show. Miniature bases can slot cleverly into channels cut for them, allowing for unprecedented detail on the battlefield of ship to ship combat. Travel on the yard arms, show what step you're holding action on, throw open (or close) doors and hatches! Choose 1" gridded - or gridless decking.

Also comes with a bunch of accessories/scatter terrain- from cargo items, to the diving bell, deck and mast cranes, rowboat, and of course weapons. Weapons that pan and tilt- slipping onto the rail system used in shipworks- allowing you to put rail mounted heavy crossbows, harpoon guns, or swivel guns in place where you want; want more firepower? We have scatter terrain ballistas that pan and tilt, multiple cannons and a mortar! Chests, and captains quarters scatter terrain are also featured.

Expandable further with the Airship pack to take to the skies, the Shipwreck/battle damage pack to allow you to use OpenLOCK magnetic clips to swap out damaged sections in a flash in game. Also compatible with the tallship expansion- giving you another deck to customize and kit out; the Wide Ship Pack to add additional width to your ships, or the display stand, to make your ship a stately display piece even when not in use.

This is wider than I thought it was. I kind of needed it to be half this wide. I'm trying to make certain ships from the old Spelljamer game.
Oh well still lots of great ships to be made with this.

Aleksey- the Sky Skiffs are 2" wide decking based, which may help. I based the width off of the average on most D&D sea-going vessel maps, and the historic sea-going vessel widths.

I can't tell from the pics. Do the ships come apart so you can access the lower levels or is it just one solid piece? thanks.

The ships have full customizable interior options :-)
You can play with most of the options on https://studio.dungeonprint.com/shipworks
Dungeonprint studio doesn't show off all of the detail of the parts, but it's great for starting custom planning :-)

I am not able to find the two "Lower Hull Stern Left/Right - For flat backed sterncastles" tiles with "deep texture". Are they missing? The zip files contain folders "Lower Hull Full Light Texture" and "Lower Hull Full Deeper Texture" but both contain only the "light" versions of the lower Hull Stern for flat backed sterncastles... Any hint? Thanks, Manfred

The light and deep textured version both work- but I should have the update with the deep texture for the flat back sterncastles in the next week, along with a large update on the gridless decking.

What's the size of the largest single piece?

We do have some 'large printer optimized' parts for decking sections, but the ships are designed to be smaller printer friendly, so everything has options to fit in about a 4"-4.5" build volume.

@david A, if you have a need for a smaller print volume, let me know and I'll see what I can do :-)

I don't have a printer yet :-) This project was the first thing that made me think getting a printer was worth it. Just wanted to make sure whatever I pick up can handle these files.

I'll do an FDM printer, because I don't think I'm ready for the extra effort of a resin printer.

I'll probably get the necromancer/airship/eldritch ship too; can all pieces be printed in about a 5"x5"x5" area?

5x5x5 will work fine :-)
I personally use a Ender 3, which is a solid little machine.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
