Regular price: $0.97
Bundle price:
 $0.73
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
When a GM is designing an urban area, or the players are exploring one, or whilst they are out in the country or villages, it may be necessary to come up with a name for a previously unnamed pub, tavern or inn. That is what 100 (And More) British-Inspired Pub Names is designed to do. The supplement has two tables; a main table of 100 pub names and a supplementary table of 5 pub types. This supplement provides 100 base pub names that can be randomly generated using the main table, or manually selected, but more can be generated from the notes on many of the names and using the supplementary table. The notes provide details on suitable locations, if they aren't being used randomly, possible alternatives and explanations as to what some of them mean. When the 100 base names, alternates and...

100 Fantasy Foods
Regular price: $1.99
Bundle price:
 $1.48
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
Adventurers travel on their stomachs, as the saying goes, and while there are taverns and inns aplenty in most of our settings, rarely do we know what’s on the menu. If you’re looking for something beyond traditional stews and roasts, hard bread and gruel, then this list is the perfect place to start. With regional specialties, seasonal delights and one or two treats that are only possible to make with the liberal application of alchemy and magic, these fantasy foods are sure to find a place of honor in your party’s hearts... or, at least, in their bellies. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here are some sample results: Laothlin Sticks: These long, green vegetable sticks have a crisp bite to...

100 NPCs You Might Meet At The Tavern
Regular price: $1.99
Bundle price:
 $1.49
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
Characters will often spend a substantial amount of time in taverns, whether following up leads, meeting contacts, resting or looking for clues and information. Some of the people met may be important for whatever quest the characters are currently undertaking. But what about the others? Taverns and inns are not frequented just by people who are immediately needed. They will have other customers and staff as well. Rather than simply glossing over these individuals, this supplement provides a detailed list of 100 different people to flesh out a tavern. Each is given a name and described. Some of them may have skills and knowledge that characters find useful and others could be a potential source of adventure hooks. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be...

100 Random Taverns
Regular price: $1.49
Bundle price:
 $1.12
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
Taverns and inns are staples of fantasy settings. Characters meet up there, find adventures, speak to contacts and occasionally even get food, drinks or accommodation. They can be found in nearly every settlement, and cities can easily have dozens of them or more, most of which will not be described or even listed. This is a list of 100 different taverns that can be dropped into a setting. Each tavern is briefly described, with its name and some other features of interest, such as the building, owner and clientele. Although these could be randomly chosen, it is a better idea for the GM to choose specific taverns, as not every tavern is suited to every location. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. Here is a sample r...

Fantasy Beer Name Generator
Regular price: $0.50
Bundle price:
 $0.01
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
Taverns and inns are a common staple of fantasy settings; they are places where players meet, get into fights and do business. But what if they want to have a drink? Rather than simply saying that they can have ale, beer, mead and so on, this generator has a set of seven tables that can be used to roll up a more exotic sounding drinks (or simply pick the names manually). A minimum of two tables should be used, but all can be rolled on for a more complex name. The tables have from eight to thirty results, and the results can be shuffled into a name for the drink, combining them with filler words so that the name makes sense. Two supplementary tables of thirty results each provide options to describe the drink's flavour. An example result, using all of the tables, would be Vale of the Gre...

Grosk's Tavern
Regular price: $1.25
Bundle price:
 $0.94
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
Grosk's Tavern is an apparently former temple that has since been converted into a tavern for those who are down on their luck. The beer has absolutely nothing to recommend it but the clientele have an oddly military demeanour. For Grosk's is actually a place to hire mercenaries and the tavernkeeper is not just that either. Those starting a fight in the tavern may well regret it. This is aimed at d100 systems but is generic enough in nature to be adapted to others. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. The adventure comes with two battlemaps, a 14"x24" map of the tavern's ground floor taking up six pages and a 21"x24" map of the cellar taking up nine pages that can be printed out and assembled. One page is the cover...

The Inn of Dusk
Regular price: $1.25
Bundle price:
 $0.94
Format:
 Watermarked PDF
The Inn of Dusk is an inn that has been haphazardly extended over the years. It is the focal point of the local community and sits near an old and now rarely used trade route. The Inn has a secret and is far more dangerous to visit than might be though; quite what the hazard is can be chosen by the GM from a list suggested for different power levels. This is aimed at d100 systems but is generic enough in nature to be adapted to others. This PDF supports Adobe layers and the page backgrounds and images can be disabled to make printing easier. The adventure comes with a 24"x20" battlemap of the inn's exterior and interior taking up eight pages that can be printed out and assembled. One page is the cover, one the front matter, around half a page is ads, one page has the GM's map of the i...

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
