You still need their errata sheets and check all of the errata. Most of the errata was updated into the book but they missed some of them. For instance, the Toxin and Drug charts are not included without the errata sheets, charts on Dodge Penalty (p41), Light Levels (p118), Interval Scale (p36),Bone Density Ratings (p291), Bone Lacing damage values (p286). Good is that Adobe Acrobat Standard DC provides the "Edit" function. It does take some time to make those changes, though.

Even I made errata mistakes. They did provide Toxin charts. Also a few others, but p291, p286 and a few of others hadn't.

There are a few games I would suggest, and while you may have to make some setting stuff yourself, the rules should support you rather nicely.

Savage Worlds (Adventure Edition)
Apocalypse Prevention Inc. 2nd edition
Genesys
WOIN (Though you would need both the OLD and NOW books)

A vast improvement, and integrated Errata from the original Core Rulebook for Sixth World. This game is great for those who have had a difficult time with the crunch of old Shadowrun. The game is far more streamlined, and now with core support books out this system is gaining some traction, and becoming very viable. The companion book has alternate rules, and helping to relieve some of the original naysayers. I hope more people give 6we a chance, or second chance.

I've played SR since the first edition. I struggled my way through GM'ing the 5th edition but 6th is just so broken that we abandoned a 4 month campaign. If I want a bit of crunch then 3rd edition is where it's at. Anarchy does a great job for fast, furious fun one-shots. Do yourselves a favour and check those out before you waste your time with this.

I keep seeing that there is no unarmed damage in the core book: So here it is

Close Combat
Specialization: Blades, Clubs, Unarmed Combat
Untrained: Yes
Linked Attribute: Agility
Are you near someone? Are you trying to hurt
them? Then use this skill! Whether you’re punching,
stabbing, clubbing, or whatever, roll Close
Combat + Agility vs. Reaction + Intuition (Athletics
can be added for Dodge; see p. 43)
Base Unarmed damage is 2S.

this is on page 94 (95 pdf)

It should be, so long as they're from sixth edition. AFAIK, the errata was focused on typos, errors, and clarifications, not any sort of balancing or other things that would change rules. There were a few things that they added in which were intended to be there (Such as the starting stat for Essence). Sourcebooks sometimes add optional rules that might not be in this book (Firing Squad added quite a few IIRC), so if you use those rules make sure the table knows what's in play.

What's the latest version of these files?

There's two versions here - one says it is "First Printing" the other is "Second Printing" but it has the date of "01-20" in the name and on the files, but the sidebar on drivethrurpg says that it was updated on July 01, 2021 which matches neither. What's the story here?

The new edge system solves this problem;
Early game mechanics are not friendly to players in previous editions. PC's have been forced to put all of their power into one or two skills just to survive a mission.
So the "GM" is then forced to tailor make a series very short and very dramatic mission conflict to satisfy each player in the game.
They need karma.
When gains could have been made with series of shorter, less dramatic, character building scenarios using a wider skill set that leads to a more impossible mission situation.
And with edge mechanics being a factor more often as it is regained faster, in play if the game flow dictates that.

The rules have begun to do the timeline justice. A post modern technological world setting rpg needs plot with options, while not always being a smash shoot and grab. Maybe searching for "Artifacts" that are mundane objects in our world?

I like the trimming down of the rules to make the game move along faster.
There were too many variables and modifiers in combat for example that made encounters take too much time. That and the overbearing limits in previous versions on matrix game play, which seem to exist just to force it out of the main line have been addressed.

Which edition of Shadowrun is this book?

Don't ever say "latest", because that is a very vague reply that doesn't answer the question, and will soon be wrong anyway.

They thought they'd be cute and say Sixth World instead of Sixth Edition.

Don't judge this book by its cover. The edition is a great streamlined version of the game, and the complexities we want are still there. The cover art is drek, even had me waiting longer before purchasing. But the interior art is quite stunning. Almost any other drawing is cover worthy, but the cover.

I can't find enough different about this edition to explain the big debate. Shadowrun is Shadowrun. The art is a bit more pop. Things move a bit faster. It's easier to play a technomancer. I guess Cyberpunk Red is pushing to be the more "gritty and real" game, but Shadowrun has always had elves and ninjas. Injecting Fantasy into the dystopia has always been a big part of it.

The Fantasy elements have nothing to do with the complaints (and anyone who has even glanced at the complaints knows that). The complaints are about the rules that look and play as if no one bothered to playtest them. It is also about Catalysts continuing inability to do even a basic level of proof reading. How else to you explain things like partial tables, and copy and pasted equipment descriptions complete with references to rules that don't exist any more. Granted some of that may have been fixed in the 14 pages of errata that's been released but it should not have happened in the first place.

That's because you don't know enough about the rules to differentiate.

Nu-Edge is a horror show.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
