Welcome to Issue 14 of the Rolemaster Fanzine. This month we are starting to look at Brian Hanson’s Mentalism realm in BASiL. Of the three realms this is the least well developed, in my opinion. What we have for you this month are seven mentalism lists. That may not seem like many but do bear in mind that BASiL is built on the assumption that characters will be of ‘no profession’ so there is less need for professional base lists. As we have said several times before, BASiL is a working document and I am sure there will be more to come in the future. In additional to BASiL Mentalism I want to look at tweakng monsters to make some really interesting Big Bad Evil Guys....

Welcome to Issue 15 of the Rolemaster Fanzine. This month is all about ideas and giving you inspiration to make things your own. I want to introduce the idea of different kinds of magic. We have the three realms and we have Arcane but we haven’t had anything truly new for nearly four decades. So this month I am introducing Blood Magic that does away with Power Points during casting. After that you will find lots of other ideas for your adventuring heroes to overcome....

Rolemaster Fanzine Issue 16
Regular price: $0.99
Bundle price:

Welcome to Issue 16 of the Rolemaster Fanzine. This month is all about adventure writing and ideas. I present three potential ‘philosophies’ as well as two adventures which I hope you can play through with the minimum of GM preparation. I also reprint a story by Captain S. P. Meek. This story was first published in 1930 and is now in the public domain. I hold this story up as an eample of how we can gather ideas for adventures that can go across genres by translating pulp fiction Sci Fi into either Rolemster or Spacemaster. If I was braver I would also have attempted HARP Fantasy and HARP SF. I hope you enjoy the issue!...

Rolemaster Fanzine Issue 17

Bundle price:
 $0.75

Welcome to Issue 17 of the Rolemaster Fanzine. This month brings two adventures 'Vesticide' and 'Fire Dragon' and in addition the shapeshifting Dream Team. The dream team could make an intestesting addition to any campaign. If you have ever been tempted to have an 'anti-party' then maybe the dream team is for you. In addition you also get some essay style articles by me. I always enjoy having a good venting off of thoughts and this month it is all about my opinions of RMU and its future....

Rolemaster Fanzine Issue 18

Welcome to Issue 17 of the Rolemaster Fanzine. Adventuring We Shall Go! This month brings the biggest we have published so far Scorpion Rock. I think the adventures in this fanzine are some of the most popular articles and I also think that a paid for fanzine is the best place for them. Posting adventures on the publically available blog means your players may have already read the ending and that could spoil things. To that end I am going to continue to publish adventures and adventuring tools....

Welcome to Issue 19 of the Rolemaster Fanzine. Adventuring We Shall Go! This month brings you another adventure Edge of the Sea. Can your players prevent the return of an ancient sea god determined to wash life from the surface of the land? Can they thwart the plans of a rather flambouyant sea faring pirate?...

Welcome to Issue 20 of the Rolemaster Fanzine. Adventuring We Shall Go! This month brings you another adventure Facing the Idiyva Can your players sneak into an Idiyva settlement and steal a magic ring? There is at least one nasty surprise waiting for them if they try, that is for sure. Random City Houses I show a simple technique for creating really simple, unique house floorplans on the fly. You will need to find and dust off a d4 while you are at it....

Welcome to Issue 1, January 2019 So this is the first issue of 2019. Happy New Year! I am kind of hoping that this is the year that RMu is finally released. It was mentioned on the Forums that one of the things that RMu will need from the very first day is a starter adventure. What I want to do is create a starting adventure for levels 1st to 5th each month from now until the release of RMu. That way even if there is nothing official at least there will be a choice of adventures for new GMs to choose from. The limitation is that I cannot directly reference the book and page numbers of particular monsters as no one has seen Creature Law in anything like a publishable form....

Welcome to Issue 23 of the Rolemaster Fanzine. This month I have been getting rather excited about adventures. As you will know I have taken it upon myself to create starting adventures for RMu. The new game system is due for release at some point in 2019 and the one thing that a role playing game needs is adventures. I have more adventures detailed on the blog than I have published so far in the fanzine. It occured to me this week that if you forget the idea of producing 12 starting adventures to give GMs a broad choice of starting points but rather put them together in a structure we are already part way to building a bigger adventure. I don’t want a linear railroad. What I am thinking is a starting point, the adventure in this issue, Revenge! At the other end the adventure ...

Welcome to Issue 24 of the Rolemaster Fanzine. This month represents the second part of the RMu adventure path. The original idea for this started life as an attempt to build a dungeon crawl for very low level RMu characters. It was explored in two blog posts… …this issue takes that original idea and works it into the second instalment of the RMu adventure path. There is no need to play this step immediately back to back with the first, introductory, adventure published last month. I have made all the encounters adaptive in both level and scale....

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
