| Welcome to issue 1 of the RoleMaster Blog Monthly or RMB Monthly from now on. What you will find here is a selection of posts from the blog edited and repurposed for reading offline. All the posts included in this issue were first published during March 2017 on www.rolemasterblog.com and this was a month during which Brian Hanson was trying to post a blog a day for the entire month. Not every post made it into the magazine as some of the blog content was too self referential and simply would not have made sense when taken out of context. The cool thing is that if you like what you find here then there is even more available online. You may even find the bits we cut out! This month really is all about Brian. In future issues you will find articles by a number of writers who each can bring ...

| Welcome to issue 2 of the RMB Monthly. This month we bring you a selection of the posts from the RolemasterBlog published in April 2017. Brian wanted to see us publish a post every day and we nearly did it which considering that we all have real lives outside of gaming and blogging is not too bad even if I say so myself.
Please note that the page layout of the print edition is not perfect but there is an issue at lightning source getting new publications approved.
In addition to pure articles this time I have included the comments that follow one of my blog posts. I outlined a potential encounter situation that could be used to kick start an adventure or two. I have included the comments so you can get an idea of what sort of community we are on the blog. ...

| So this is Issue 3 of the fanzine. Back in March Brian had the idea of trying to publish a quality blog posts every day. We didn’t quite make it, partially because I disappeared to Iceland for a while leaving Brian flying solo. April started the same way.I wasn’t back from Iceland until the 7th so could not contribute as many posts as I would have liked. In May I decided that we would hit that target and we did. We ended up publishing 32 posts in 31 days. That has given me a wealth of material for this months fanzine
Ironically I am also on a push to write more unique ‘fanzine only’ content in this issue and all the issues going forward. So here I am with more posts to choose from than ever before and on a mission not to...

| Rolemaster Fanzine Issue 0004 Regular price: $1.22CAD Bundle price: $0.93CAD Format: Watermarked PDF
| This month is a bit special. This is a first for the fanzine and it is all about Shadow World. In many ways this is an easy issue for me as I know nothing about Shadow World. I have played a thief and an illusionist in Kulthea but I have never run a game in the setting. I kind of want to keep it that way as I have enjoyed learning about the world as it unfolds. I don’t think it would be the same if I had read the source books and knew what was really going on. So in this isse most of the work has been done by Brian Hanson and also by default by Terry K Amthor. I have reprinted an interview that Brian did with Terry (page 5) last year for the blog and also Brian’s article on Advanced Technology (page 15) but the real gem this time is the first chapter of Terry’s The Lorem...

| This month I wanted to give you more new and unique content than ever before. I am assuming this is a good thing. As it happens last month’s Shadow World Special was the bestselling edition ever and that was almost 100% reprints of free articles from the blog.
This month is very much for the GM. Brian has been on creative overload with his deconstruction of Spell Law and has raised a lot of really good points. If you want to read more then check out the blog. I on the other hand thought I would put my ideas about Spell Law and spell lists in the fanzine.
August is a funny time for RPGs as most face to face games seem to breakdown at this time of year. I guess the players are more likely to take holidays or maybe dark evenings are more suited to sitting around the gaming table?

| The RolemasterBlog is a fan run blog written by GMs and players of probably the best roleplaying game ever written, not that we are biased!
This issue is our Halloween Special and includes three playable adventures covering demonic possession, a ghost ship and a twist on the classic giant monster movie but this time using a house cat called Fluffy.
You also get some GMing advice on running horror based sessions which can be some of the hardest to pull of when game mechanics get in the way of the story telling and that all important suspension of disbelief....

About the only thing that Rolemaster does not have is a community of small independent adventure writers. People who write and publish their own adventures for the rest of the Rolemaster fans to play and enjoy. The reason for that is that the monsters that you need to create those adventures are protected by copyright and without monsters it is nigh on impossible to create adventures for most campaigns.
In this issue we have gone back to Rolemaster’s roots and converted the original D&D monsters, this time from 5e, back to Rolemaster so anyone can use them. This first collection introduces 15 races from Ogres to Owlbears and Kobolds to t...

This month brings more monsters, the Vampire and Vampire Spawn as well as three playable adventures. Stand By Me is a role players vampire story where saving the innocent surpasses the need to kill the monster. At the other end of the spectrum we have a vampires tomb to explore and a village over run by vampires.
What more could a Rolemaster fan want for Christmas?...

| Welcome to Issue 9 of the Rolemaster Fanzine.
This month we have three adventures for you. In Raging Bull there are two concepts depending on how your group operates. Most fantasy games are very much European in outlook but there are hints at possible adventures in a more exotic African styled world suggested by an NPC that the players never get to meet. For those of a more action pack nature there is the chance to confront your players with a full on stampede of cattle in very confined places. There are some things in life you cannot parry and a charging bullock is one of them.
In The Sprites of Amelie you get a merry band of invisible sprites out to assist a party member to battle evil, whether the party want it or not! To start the party may not even know they are being helped. The...

| Welcome to Issue 10 of the Rolemaster Fanzine.
Brian wrote recently that he had published nearly 200 documents for Shadow World on the Rolemaster Blog and the Rolemaster Forums. What I want to achieve here is bring these together into the first printed edition of Brian’s Alternative Spell Law or BASiL as it has become known.
It is my understanding that BASiL is a working document in that it is still evolving and new spell lists are being introduced all the time. What I will publish here will be the aggregated documents that Brian shared on the blog and the supporting articles....

| Welcome to Issue 11 of the Rolemaster Fanzine.
This month is all about BASiL, Brian’s Alternative Spell (i) Law. We are featuring 33 new spell lists what is Essence part 2. These spell lists encompass the traditional Magician base lists, so this is where you are going to find you fireballs and lightning bolts.
It is also where BASiL really starts to shine in my opinion. No longer do you have just one elemental list such as Wind Law that tries to do it all. Now, for example, Wind Law becomes four distinct lists; Defensive Winds, Attacking Winds, Moving Winds and Controlling Winds....

| Welcome to Issue 12 of the Rolemaster Fanzine.
This month we complete the Essence section of BASiL. We have five new essence spell lists and one special preview list from the Channeling BASiL lists.
In addition we have two new monsters, the Mummy and Mummy Lord.
I also want to start a discussion about NPCs and stock NPCs in particular. There are as many different types of NPC out there as there are GMs running games....
