Random by Day, Super by Night is as much about creating a superhero as it is playing as one. Like all of the greatest Superheros you get your powers by accident, and roll for them accordingly. With over 3 Million different combinations of superpowers to play with, you will have your hand's full proving you are the greatest of them all. Sometimes fate makes you into Superman, and sometimes you have to fake it as Aquaman. Yet as a new recruit in the Super Hero world it is up to you to try your best and make it in the big leagues. 

The world of Random by Day, Super by Night is filled with villainous tropes and baddies to take down. Yet saving the day is not the only goal you and your super-buddies have, you are trying to get recruited to W.A.N.N.A.B.E, the greatest superhero group of all time. So remember, save the day, but make sure you look like a hero doing it!


This game was created live on Twitch (with some editing later on) on 7/7 by Alexander Sprague and Jessica Geyer of Wannabe Games. 9/10 rating!
A very cool micro-RPG! It would be great for a spontaneous game during a rainy day, at night while out camping, or at a boring gathering/party with nothing to do. A real "beer and pretzels" game! This would be a good way to introduce RPGs to newbies, as the system isn't very rules-crunchy. My only complaint is that, unless I grossly misread the rules, a lot of the animal category entries give you penalties instead of bonuses. That's like making a hero with the "powers" of being completely blind and deaf, but nothing else to compensate for it. That's why I rated this 9/10 instead of giving it a full 10.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
