Rex Draconis Player's Companion

The Rex Draconis RPG Player’s Companion provides the following additional player options to help give your table the most authentic Rex Draconis experience possible:
• Lore and legends of Rex Draconis
• Two new playable races: The seafaring and honorable Tiberos Minotaur, and the small halfling-like porcupine quilled Kwillum
• Two new class archetypes: The Knight of Dracoma (fighter archetype), and the fearless martial minotaur Shirud (monastic tradition)
• Three new Clerical Domains: Time domain, Faith domain, and the Magic domain
• Optional magic system adjustments: Optional rules that apply to the Necromancer and the Druid. Each of the player options comes with an new ability to compliment the core abilities; however they both also come with the risk of an adverse effect too.
• Three new factions: Knights of Dracoma, Kingdoms Aliance, and Minotaur Empire
• Rex Draconis RPG pantheon
• Two new backgrounds; Squire and Moon Gazer

Based on the a living and running fantasy novel series by one of D&D's bestselling authors (Dragonlance), Richard A. Knaak's - Rex Draconis saga.

Note: These RPG books are produced in conjunction with the active novel line written by Richard A. Knaak. The novels aren't required to use/enjoy the RPG, but it does allow interaction with favorite novel Chars which adds to some of the charm. The RPG is a separate story that interestingly crosses paths with the novel line, but not having read the books is in no way a barrier to the RPG content.

It's telling me I own this, but doesn't give me a download link... and it doesn't show up in my library to download it there.

Someone please help me understand this product. Why is there a reference to dragons in the name if it appears there is no content about dragons in the product?

I tried to research the novels and all I can tell is that the books all have dragon in the title but are about minotaurs not about dragons. I checked out the free Rex Draconis download and the word dragon doesn't even appear anywhere in the product. So, is this something like Saint George where the word is used but it doesn't actually mean dragon, or is it just really bad advertising where the publisher forgot that people might want to know how much dragon stuff is in a product named for dragons before paying for it?

Thank you for your interest.

It is the world setting that is called Rex Draconis rather than the specific product, based on the name of the novel series it is adapted from. It is called so because of the entity known as Rex Draconis - the King of Dragons, a (currently) mysterious figure tied to the gods and history. The setting and novel line does have dragons in it, which will appear throughout the RPG product line when the setting calls for it - in parallel with the book releases and reveals. The first of the dragons have appeared in the novels, and are slated for appearance in the next wave of RPG products to be released.

The setting is far too complex to do it justice in this comments section. If you'd like to know more about the setting I invite you to follow Richard A Knaak or the Rex Draconis group, the Rex Draconis Fan Group, or the Richard A Knaak's - REX Draconis RPG Setting group on Facebook, or follow Richard or the publishers PBpublishing or Pyromaniac Press on twitter....See more

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
