Why is there no campaign made? I'm excited to try this game, but with limited knowledge of the witcher world, its difficult to come up with a campaign off the top of my head.

Good adventures take time to make! We're currently in layout on Book of Tales, a collection of six adventures for the Witcher. There will be specific notes on how to link them together into a full campaign as well. As soon as we have a better idea of when the book will release, we'll announce that!

Is there any plans for a more expanded bestiary book in the future?

A Witcher's Journal! Thirty new critters, including Higher Vampires and True Dragons (each of which get their own unique life paths). We're working on it now!

Hello Cody,

By the way great job on the game. I have a question, I noticed that there are huge amounts of mistakes that have been made public in the Errata for the Core book about 50 plus pages of mistakes here and there. My question is are there any mistakes that have been missed on the GM screens. I have been looking but I am short on free time lately and haven't been able to focus much on it. I purchased the corrected PDF but it still leaves me with a less then desirable Hard Back I paid good money for. So I am dealing with this but I am worried about the GM screen having these same mistakes in the printing. Thank you for your response. I purchased the Hard Cover from your website as no one else is carrying it at the moment.

The GM screen was made using the 1.2v errata. The tables and charts should be accurate.

Really ecstatic to hear this. I was worried for a minute or well until now. I'm just glad, you are referring to not just this GM screen on this site but the actual Printed GM screen that is from R. Talsorian Games Inc. correct?

Indeed. The files you download here are made from the same master files we make the print files from.

I'd just bought a psychical copy and the text on the GM screen is kinda blurry. Has any one else noticed this or is it just my copy? Thanks!

I can't understand the example table on the Gm screen ... Can somebody explain it to me why being drunk gives me +3 mod value and at what for example ?

Hi there! Those are modifiers to the DC based on circumstance. Being drunk makes it pretty hard to do anything, so the DC of tasks go up by 3. If its normally DC 12 to pick a lock, it turns to DC 15.

That's a hefty sum for a pdf, even if it is a GM's screen. Is there any chance of getting a preview?

A preview for 16 pages? xD

Its a reasonable request. Just as much as $12.50 for 16 pages is. ;)

Yeah, I'm going to call bullshit on this one. Take your $12.5 and buy the corebook to another game, or a supplement for your favorite system, or maybe Reign Enchiridon or Red Tide or An Echo Resounding if you are looking for an actual RPG product about "Lands" or "Lords."

Seriously, you are paying $1.25 per page, of a digital document! There's no mention as to how short it is in the description of this product. It's implied, but the title misleads you into thinking a full supplement about domain management and the campaign setting itself.

As a college student whose cash is limited? Holy crap am I glad I checked the page count and reviews before jumping on this "Best Selling Title." R. Talsorian is making a mint at our expense!

Friends, take my advice and take your cash somewhere else.

You do realize this a game master screen and not a book per say right? This is a digital scan of the four panel screen and booklet that came with it. The screens are a 40 year rpg tradition of having covenant tables & rule charts in front of you and hiding your notes + dice rolls from the players.

I agree with you Even N, many RPG publishers even give out their GM screens for free or for a couple of bucks; GM screens are some of the easiest "do it yourself" products in existence, the tables and information are already contained in the core book, you can create your own in a matter of minutes, and put some awesome looking art on the front panel to boot! Which is what most sane, non-apologist players are going to do, considering the price tag.

I have not yet bought this product but I am VERY excited to. Something worth mentioning (that the reviewers haven't considered, I think) is that this is intended to be a GM Screen. If you're uninitiated, a GM Screen is a physical product that is used to hide your rolls and sheets from your players in the same room as you, and provide easy to access tables while playing physically. If you purchase a PDF version of it, while there is new content (Noble profession, Halflings race), you are purchasing content you mostly own already, since PDFs are more-easily-searched than physical books.

Know what you're purchasing before making the purchase. It is adding several things (as indicated in the description), but a good chunk of this is intended to be a physical product as I understand it.

Exactly! This a just the Witcher's Game Master Screen. Always a useful tool. I use GM screens on every RPG I run almost. The booklet is just a little extra filler.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
