If I were to take this to my local printshop for a coil bind print, what size should I tell them to print? They only have access to the International Paper Sizes where I'm at nowadays, so "digest" or "letter" will probably confuse them.

Capstone appears to not follow the summoning rule. The rule states that you can give one of your powers to your minions but you lose access to that power. Capstone has 3 kinds of minions each with their own power, one of which he doesn't have. If he purchased multiples of each of those powers then he spent 3 more points on character creation than the other players. Unless I misunderstood how summoning works?

Kudos to the crew at Drive Thru. There was a delivery error by the USPS and they fixed it for me. Kudos to the writer of "Tiny Dungeon." It is a useful rules-lite sandbox. Kudos to Alan Barr for writing up the super powers to fit the system. We needed much more, but what's there is clever. The "Gallantverse" and "microverse" settings are completely useless, however. They were apparently written by middle school kids on their cell phones. The worst part is basically none of the characters invented for the "verse" sections (about 7/8ths of the book) are statted out. The fantasy races of "Tiny Dungeon" are swapped out for "archetypes" in this book which are basically useless. (IMHO origins would've been better.) Don't tell me you're supplying information for using the game and you haven't even provided stats for the characters. The product is very nicely produced, but a person could do just as well to download "Tiny Dungeons" for free...See more

The statblocks of the "learner PCs" presented in the book seem to be about 2-3 traits more advanced than default starting characters? Or did I misunderstand character creation? P.20 mentions the selection of three Powers from the list, and P.29 outlines the Tiers as costing a Trait choice, yet Gallant on P. 59 seems to have a total of six selections (two more than the Paragon's regular four).

Hey folks - They are learner PCs, designed to show the game and the potential of it (as well as serve as NPCs). Because the stat-block is doing double duty, these PCs are more "advanced" than the standard character creation (hence the extra traits.)

In to use a hopefully more accessible analogy, they might be "Level 3" starting characters, rather than "Level 1". A file of standard 3-trait pregenerated characters will be coming down the pipeline this year.

Re-skinning is easy. I mean actual powers that aren’t in there, like weather control, cosmic flight, or higher super speeds more akin to the Flash as opposed to Quicksilver.

Am I misunderstanding the Evade combat action, because it seems like it can be easily abused? My understanding from reading the pdf is that each turn a player of NPC can repeatedly sacrifice a single one of their two actions and then every single time someone scores a successful hit against them (not a high chance to begin with) they have a 33% chance to simply negate that hit.

Is that right?

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
