Need a little help. Rules say stuff like DESTROY 1D4 TARGETS. Does that mean 1D4 Xenos, Xenos' Hearts, or Xenos' HP.

Also, do normal attacks use up AMMO?

Thanks in advance!

Noticed a small typo, escalations on the third bullet/- is missing the "s" after the "e", for "Ecalations"

I see that damaged weapons can be repaired but I can't seem to find anything explaining how weapons become damaged. Am I missing something?

In the spirit of normal ICRPG, there are a few places where the rules are vague. This leaves the discretion on the rule up to you! Does a weapon become damaged when an alien explodes in front of him, lacing his gun with acid? If he shoots to fast does his barrel over heat? Things like this to bring the game to life.

Picked this up because one of the reviews said you don't need ICRPG to to play. But it looks like you do. This game doesn't describe how movement works.

It says you can move close, near or far as per the normal ICRPG rules, but they don't explain how those rules work...

Yeah, XDZ throws around some of the ICRPG terms, but is a standalone as well. There are always tons of answers, ideas, and player builds at

Love this new game from Runehammer. The mashup of Zombicide like mechanics and ICRPG with a strong flavor of Aliens is spectacular. The art is fantastic...just seeing the image of an upside down Alien hanging from the ceiling gave me chills. I'd leave 5 stars, but got the product via Patreon so maybe Drivethru isn't allowing me to rate since I didn't purchase it here.

Super awesome content, and I can't wait to get this on my table. As always the art is amazing and the energy in the writing is phenomenal. Would leave a 5-star review but it seems DTRPG doesn't like people with published content leaving reviews, so my thoughts go here instead.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
