Hobart is nothing more than a run-down collection of shacks on the edge of Blackmore Marsh. Those that have heard of it know the village as the last settlement before heading into the marsh and the retirement home of the hero Gratt. Hoping to pursue his lifelong love of horticulture, a village surrounded by rich marshland where plants thrived was the perfect spot. Blackmore Marsh holds many secrets however and Gratt discovered one best left forgotten. His innocent hobby created a horror that now terrorizes the marsh.

Can the adventurers find out what happened at Hobart and where Gratt is? Will they dare to explore the Blackmore and risk becoming hopelessly lost? Whatever Gratt created is out there, feeding and growing stronger. WIll the adventurer's dare confront it or will they let it turn the Blackmore into a deadland?

Drop Scenes are a Palliven Project exclusive! Each is a 5E compatible adventure scenario that is easy to prepare and meant to be played in a 4-6 hour session. They are written to be scalable to fit the needs of your group. Designed to be 'dropped in' where, and when, the DM needs they provide the cohesive, thought out scenario your game deserves.

Drop Scenes are the perfect option when:

* You had a busy week and aren't as prepared as you would like.

* You need something quick because players turn a hard left when you were sure they were going to curve right.

* Your group can’t all come together so you want to save that awesome plot twist for a later day.

* Your group (or you as the DM!) wants a short break from the main story arc.

* Your players can't decide what they want to do when you gave them the full sandbox approach they were begging for.

* You want to encourage a player to try their hand at being DM for a night but don't want to reveal all your campaign secrets.

* Just to play as a one-shot for the fun of it.

Whatever the reason, Drop Scenes are one DM tool worth keeping at the ready!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
