Infernal Might: Common Lore

Suggested Price $1.50

An Alternate Take

Infernal Might: Common Lore revises and alters the basic system for Lore use and is intended to present a streamlined option for Demon: the Fallen 20th Anniversary Edition. This book contains new rules for Lore of the Fundament, Lore of Humanity, and the Innate Powers of Demons.

Infernal Might: Common Lore is presented as a pay what you want download in the hopes that you might leave a tip for this humble artisan.

Streamlined for
the Anniversary Edition

The purpose behind these revisions is twofold. First, these new systems make an effort to clean up references to Abilities to bring Demon: The Fallen in line with the Ability spread seen in the 20th Anniversary Edition line of products. Where necessary, Ability references have been modified to reflect the core Abilities presented in those official sources published via Onyx Path. Secondly, an effort is made to re-imagine a demon’s Lore as a fundamental portion of their being that connects them directly to the universe as a whole. As such, the basic system by which each Lore functions is replaced with the system included in this book.

Other than the dice-pool I didn't really notice too much difference between the Lores presented here and the way they are in the original book. I was interested in checking the other lores of this series but I'm not sure about how much are they improving. My biggest issue with demon the fallen is that there are way too many lores that are highly dependent on each other and the XP cost of them are really big. I would like to see someone reviewing them to solve those problems. Do this series done by this author help with that?

This series focuses on mechanics and clarification of language to bring items in line with other 20th Anniversary games. There is no discussion of experience costs, but i can look into recalculating and adding them.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
