Does this come with tables to generate planets and aliens you might encounter?

Is there a license for this? CC-BY or similar?

Hello, I'm posting here because I could find no other way to contact the author. I come from a far different corner of the gaming universe and bumped into Moonhop by accident. The pdf is far out, but I'm a geezer, is there any chance of a print version?

I would like to attempt a print version, eventually, but I won't be able to for the foreseeable future, unfortunately.

Moonhop is punchy, kooky, and straight to the point. It lays out the barest bones of a "setting" - with radioactive magic and mechs - which blurs the line between ruleset and worldbuilding in a manner reminiscent of Troika!

I'd be lying if I said I played Moonhop as-written, but every little idea and nugget in it, from tasting magic objects to crushing wizard teeth for power to moonhopping itself has wormed its way into my canon of rules and rulings. The Lamp is on the front page of nearly everything I give my players these days. It's like a mantra.

Well worth the __INSERT YOUR MONETARY SYSTEM HERE__ (it's like £2 for me, I dunno what that is in dollars)

Nice! I'm glad to hear you like all my little bits and bobs of implied settings! The Lamp is always right in front of my players as well; it really speeds my groups along. (And, in case you're curious, it's just about three american dollars).

I would appreciate it if you posted this in the Reviews section of the page as well as Discussions. It makes for a bit more visibility. Thanks!

Thought I'd mention the preview is all the book. And it doesn't look that much like a lamp to me.

Yup! The preview includes the whole book so people can get a good look at it before spending any money. The Lamp used to be more Lamp shaped than it is now, but it's a fun name.

By the look of the preview, this looks very promising, but the layout format could work better by making it compact like black hack and other similar games. Making this more effortless to navigate by putting much of the stuff on wider, single spread. Flipping through pages as much would bog down the speed and pace of the game.
And if this gets attention of people please make more of this series as a Zine source book so that people might invest more into it. Cheers. I would love to play this. So gonzo...!

In print, most of the tables are two-page spreads. If I can make that work better as a PDF I'll update the product; if I can make the format printer-compatible, I'll add a print version as well.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
