While this adventure is written for the Dolmenwood campaign setting, it can easily be placed in any other setting where one might expect to encounter icy fairies and rings of ancient standing stones.

Also available in an old-school version, for Old-School Essentials (B/X) and other vintage games.

Are there plans on adapting any more of the Dolmenwood material to 5e or has that been abandoned?

How long does this take to run? Looking for a one shot or at most, two sessions.

It can be run in 3-4 hours if the DM pushes the pace.

Is there any chance of the 5E version being reprinted? Someone just recommended this to me, and I'd really love to buy a 5E print copy to keep!

Possibly at some point, but it's not something that we have plans for currently.

How many players is this slated for? Can i run it with 2 players if I up their Player levels to say.. 3-5 instead of 1-3?

You could definitely run this for 2 players at level 3. If they're Level 2 or Level 1 I would emphasize to them beforehand that this adventure rewards non-violence. Most encounters have ways to solve them that don't involve rolling for damage. Even at L3 if they go in whacking everything they see they're going to have a bad time.

There seems to be some story additions in this 5e version? How much has been added from the OSE version?

The one difference (apart from the stats / mechanics, of course) is that encounter area 2 was revised in the OSE version, following lots of feedback from people who'd run the adventure. The 5e version hasn't been updated with the change, but may be at some point.

Dear Gavin, I bought the print edition through Necrotic Gnome here: https://necroticgnome.com/products/dolmenwood-winters-daughter -- and the site sent me the PDF version straight away. The PDF is not D&D5e compatible. I emailed ExaltedFuneral immediately but haven't received a reply. How can I get a hardcopy of the D&D5e version?

Hi Drew, I believe the 5e version of this adventure is sold out. We only have print copies of the Old-School Essentials version.

Hi Gavin, they emailed me last night and you are correct. I will be getting the 5e PDF to go with the printed OSE book. Thank you for your prompt reply!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
