If you are not afraid of heights, consider a visit to The Treetop Inn. Built amongst the mighty limbs of a huge tree, this two story structure offers it all - fine dining, good drinks and comfortable beds for the night.

The Treetop Inn is full of details, npcs and rumors/story hooks to make it a memorable location you can use again and again in your campaign. Within its covers, you will find:

  • A colorful history of the tavern to share with your players.
  • The owner Edo Broadleaf, a young elf who successfully executed his vision to make a truly unique tavern and inn.
  • A great staff helps keep the vision alive. Leah Pedastem is an expert at farm to table fare and running the kitchen like a military operation, Primi Violet, head of housekeeping and an absolute delight to the patrons and Ala Greenstem & Junis Camphal, waiter and waitress who keep the food and drinks flowing and the patrons happy.
  • Being set in a city environment, there are quite a few regulars including Praetor & Caes Broadleaf, Edo's parents. They like to keep a watch on their son. There is also Jinny Frost, a barfly who is friends with the staff and Quinlan Deeros, a real ladys man who is always showing up with someone new.
  • Details about the neighborhood
  • Two different adventure seeds that you can share with your players as rumors for full fledged quests.
  • Handout maps of the tavern/restaurant floorplan and the 2nd floor inn

The Ball & Chain Fantasy Tavern & Inn is your complete blueprint to creating a memorable tavern for you to role play and for your players to put up their feet, get a bit tipsy and enjoy!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
