Adapted from the Dungeon Dealer card decks for 5e and other systems. Create unlimited random dungeons with this easy to use book. Each page has a unique 5x5" dungeon tile that you can draw as well as D20 hallway sections to join tiles when you need to. D20 larger chambers mix up the room size and open the map up for boss encounters.

This open system allows you to add or subtract elements you might not need. This is a system-neutral map generator that will never make the same map twice. It uses the classic playing card deck "52 factorial" which is really a super sized "140 factorial" when you add all the variables inside the book + the variable orientation of the map sections.

"The Dungeon Dealer Chamber and Maze decks are going to sit alongside of them in my collection! And to be honest, I would label Dungeon Dealer's decks as a quintessential supplement to tabletop roleplaying." -- Easy Roller Dice

Didn't prep the night before? This is great for live map making

If you're running a campaign and need a map on the fly, you can create rooms, hallways, and chambers as your party explores. If a PC enters a chamber and an enemy marker is facing them in the doorway, they have been surprised by that enemy. Pits can send PCs or NPCs down a level into a new randomly generated floor of the dungeon. As the Game Master, you will constantly be surprised by the outcomes.

What's in the book

I bought it, but it doesn't have a clear explanation about some things. For example, what are the skull icons? Deathtraps or monsters?

I think this a problem also. It badly needs a key for the dots, skulls and arrows. It could also do with some tables for contents and dungeon dressing as a supplement.

There's also a reference to red floor plates - the print book is black and white. :/

So, trying to add tings up ... it appeared that the Dungeon Dealer cards ( decks 1 & 2 ) ... seemed to always attach rooms to rooms ... as such, 52 cards each would be 104 rooms ... I see this says 100 rooms + d20 hallways & d20 larger chambers ... so is it *mostly* a superset of the Dungeon Dealer cards ? Or did leave some out as well as coming up with additional content ?

Just trying to understand. I get the ease of use for the card decks, but not the need for more physical storage for things.

Thank you for a tool I'm hoping will be useful to me.

J.W - this book consists of all new chambers so none of these designs are from the Dungeon Dealer cards. It's the same style as far as iconography and such, but the chambers in this book are far larger. :)

Good to know ... so what do you suggest as the best implementation of all of the random rooms & hallways & such for somebody like myself that's going to want to go all digital ? Feels like there's a gap in being able to use the rooms & such from the cards within the context of the book.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
