Roof Beams (Dragonlock Compatible)

Roof Beams (Dragonlock Compatible)

STL (3D Model)
$1.50

I was tired of printing entire second floors for the roof space of single storey buildings, since mostly I don't want the roof space to be playable anyway. This is my solution.

Includes a 4x4 "Roof Beam" as well as a 4x2 version

They can be used with the normal FDG roof tiles and trusses as well as with Michael Sheridans wider roof set. (Two of the 4x4 pieces can be clipped together for the 4" roof, and a 4x4 clipped to a 4x2 for the 3" roofs.

Comment below if you would like similar pieces in different sizes to be added.

Does not include Dragonbite clips. They can be downloaded from the link below.

Dragonlock Clips

This set does not contain Roof Trusses, they can be found in the Dragonlock Village sets and the wider roof set linked above.

I would like to suggest for the 3" roof sections, to have a 6"x 6" frame. I think it would be best with supports at either the 2" in or 3" double wide in the center to support the trusses. I think the 4" that you have already made can be assembled in a grid.

Oh, second thoughts for the 3" sections.. maybe make it 2" wide and 3" deep (parallel to the trusses), that way, you can build out what you need with a grid, to make it more modular.

Yeah the 4" clip together so no need to add anything there. Making them bigger you would need the cross sections anyway to support the trusses in the middle. I will release a 2x4 later today which can clip onto the 4x4 to give a 6x4 that will make it usable with Mikes 3" roofs. I will then start looking at dedicated ones for the 3" roofs. I suspect you are right and 3 x 2 will work best.
Thanks for the suggestions

Awesome idea! Sizes to support the recent 3 and 4 inch roof release by Michael Sheridan would be useful as well - https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/262369/3-and-4-inch-timber-roofs?filters=0_0_0_44593_0

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
